I need logo help

2 Attachment(s)
I'm trying to make a logo for my girls 10u fastpitch softball team I coach.
I want this logo to be easily transferable to hat's and shirts, etc.
Here's something I've been working on and hope that you can either make this better or something totally different altogether

Our team name is the Lady Knights.

BTW: We're looking to add a couple of 8-9 year old girls 03/04 birthdays if they're ready to compete at a competitive level around the metro.

LS, BS, Raytown, Indep areas.
psd & jpg attached.

Whoever does get it right I'll put your business or name on our banner.
Thanks.

How about a nice, long bat nestled between two softballs, Mr. wutamess?

I sense a winning streak just around the corner.

That looks pretty good! :thumb: I have a shield graphic on my work computer that would look great in the background. I can hook you up w/ a design in the morning and you can see what you think about it.

It's OK :spock: I just feel like, there's a GREAT one out there somewhere that I can't design at the moment. Hopefully something catches my eye. I'll choose something by the weekend.

Actually, our main color is hot pink/fuchsia.

Anyway to give the shield a more depth/embossed look and keep it clean for shirts and such?

This. Nice work, DRU!

Screw it. I'm out. I don't work for free anyway and especially not in the middle of the night. DRU, however...

Shadowing.

I know that... I meant in electronic form. I don't know how to drop shadow in PS. Would a little filigree on the outsides make it too busy?

wutamess 10-24-2012 11:44 PM

Lumpy, I still want to see your shield graphic tomorrow if it's not too much of a problem. Thanks.

wutamess 10-24-2012 11:46 PM

Or is it too much if Lady Knights was in there somewhere?

Something like the Sporting KC logo where Kansas City is up at the top of the shield?

Rough around the edges because I'm not taking the time to make this all perfect, just giving you ideas.

I'm really not a designer, but putting the seams across the shield is the first thing that popped out when I saw this.

Refer to DRU's last graphic. That was what I was referring to w/ my post. IMO, filigree would make it look way too busy.

Not a problem at all. I was just busting your sack earlier. :p

wutamess 10-25-2012 07:22 AM

That spam?

wutamess 10-25-2012 07:34 AM

Also can i have the shield more pronounced and maybe a softball yellow color? Different/more detailed shield maybe?

Lumpy 10-25-2012 09:31 AM

Do you have a high-res copy of just the "L" and "K"?

wutamess 10-25-2012 09:36 AM

Got font off of dafont.com. In their calligraphy section the font is called mutlu something. Im not mqrried to the font so if you see something that catches your eye, have at bit. I cleaned it up in PS.

Meh. Okay, I tracked down the shield that I was thinking about last night. It has quite a bit of detail and would look awesome with the shadow, letters, and words on it. However, I don't think it would work for hats/shirts unless you go w/ an iron-on transfer. Even then, I don't know how it would turn out, (I work in the digital printing field not screen printing).

IMO, I like what DRU came up with for the logo. It's simple and it should transfer to material just fine.

wutamess 10-25-2012 11:36 AM

I like the bezel of the shield. Maybe use your shield with qhat deu has and woild it look too busy to out lady knights above or below or a combination of the two?

Lumpy 10-26-2012 11:25 AM

Unfortunately, I don't have a good program to use for merging the art, (I just have form design programs on my work comp). :(

Can someone clean these up to vector maybe?

Lumpy 10-31-2012 12:22 AM

Limited resources. I has them at the moment. But, if nobody hooks you up in the morning, (and my workload is minimal), I'll help you out.

wutamess 10-31-2012 01:17 PM

Anyone, please?

wutamess 10-31-2012 10:53 PM

Anyone from night crew?

What do you guys think about this logo instead?
And can someone clean it up and possibly vectorize it?

Lumpy 11-03-2012 09:00 PM

I really like that one! :thumb:

I tried to convert it to a vector for you, but the attached version is too low of a resolution. (I don't have Photoshop so I can't open the psd file).

If you have a higher resolution version, you can always upload it here: http://vectormagic.com/home

(You will need to sign-up for an acct on there, but you get 2 free conversions.)

Also, I'm truly sorry that I didn't get around to helping you out earlier. :(

wutamess 11-03-2012 09:55 PM

No higher resolution. I dont know how to clean it up and would like it wither higher resolutuon or vector. No worries on the previous help.
