Interesting day at NFL officiating clinic. Biggest point of emphasis for 2014..Illegal contact and defensive holding. More offense!

NFL says they are offsetting this emphasis with an emphasis on calling offensive pass interference. Not an even trade in my opinion.

The NFL looked at what the NBA did to open up offense and is copying.

Sometimes it is needed (NHL when they got rid of the two line pass rule, lowering the mound in baseball) other times it is not (the goalie trapezoid)

YEP!!! They were talking on Fox Sports Radio last night about how aggressive the Seattle defense plays and I told my Wife, "you watch, they'll crack down this year because poor, poor, Peyton got his shit shoved in"

Methinks instead of worrying about how many more ways they can dream up defensive holding, they should focus on headlocks on defensive ends by o-lineman and illegal pick plays
