Being the overall #1 is nice for pride, but I'm fine with Ohio State getting that label because then if they don't make the final four, the choke label becomes even more loud and prominent.
I want the west. It's been BYU the whole time as the #2 and they're terrible, like really not good.

5 Loss Pitt who didn't even win 1 game in the tourney will get a 1? I'm not doubting you but it just doesn't seem right.

Well SDSU is up 10 on BYU with 5 min left. If they win they should be the 2 in the west and BYU would be a 3 prob.

Duke will get a #1 after they win tomorrow. As they should. The difference between the worst #1 and best #2 is negligible, though.

that sounds like a sweet plan until SD State grabs that #2 west spot (#1 is not home protected from #2), and BYU gets shipped out as a 3 or 4.

I want NO PART of the west. Whichever #1 goes west could get screwed over by SD State. I almost have them pencilled in to the final four, depending on how tough that region looks.

There's not a chance. BYU isn't even a top 25 team anymore in my mind.

Hell no, thats my point. The person I replied to wants the west because they think BYU will be #2 West. I think BYU will be a #3 or 4 somewhere else, and SD State (which, again is a really good team) will be #2 west.

KU going west would be a complete f**king disaster. Fortunately, we took care of business today and wont have to worry about it, the west region is someone else's problem.

I see some combination of OSU/KU taking the first two #1 seeds, then Pitt, ND, Duke, and SDSU taking up the last two #1's and first two #2's.

The last two #2's will probably come out of Louisville, Texas, and UNC.

UNC might change things if they win tomorrow, though, because everyone likes to hype them up even if they aren't that good (and they aren't that good this year).
