Anyone Know Minecraft? How To Get Mods?
 

So my son started playing minecraft a few weeks ago. A little surprising since it looks like it should be labeled "atari".
Anyway, he found all these mods for minecraft but when we go to dl them it directs you to sites that require you to load them as your homepage, toolbar, etc. which obviously is bullshit.

I'm sure nobody has played it in a jillion years but does anyone know any reputable locations to dl mods for minecraft?

Barring that do you have any minecraft tips or tricks to share with the kid?

I just paid like $27 for my son for this game. I don't get it, but he loves it.

It's super addicting.. Had a server up for a few weeks at my work where my co-workers and boss were creating all kinds of crazy shit.
This game created a new genre.

It is basically virtual legos.. What is not to love, you can do ANYTHING..

there was a game out before, I will have to look what it was called.. But minecraft stole the idea and made it better..

Like most computer games, it has some problem solving and creativity, but inferior to putting them in the shop with a hammer and nails for an afternoon.

It's like virtual Legos. People have created some amazing shit.

I've been playing the crap out of Terraria, which was inspired by Minecraft. I may have to check Minecraft out.

It's actually a brand new game. It's just that it's more about creativity than graphics. Pretty cool, IMO. Good game for kids. Let 'em go... see what they build.
