If the Flynn to Oakland trade gets completed, as expected, look for Seattle to consider Tyler Thigpen as a back-up to Russell Wilson

Lol dude was a backup when we traded for him. Period.

IF you want to doubt him due to injury, that's pretty valid. He's been injury prone. He's entered the season as the starter six times. He is a starting QB.

The same thing happened in 2010.

People in this forum were enamored with Jimmy Clausen. I got swept up in it as well. When the Chiefs passed at 5, it was unclear whether it was *****'s doing or that Weis didn't trust him and so on. But when he dropped into the second round, it was clear that the NFL front offices knew more about Clausen than anyone in an internet forum.

And to date, Clausen hasn't proven them to be wrong.

Umm the majority wanted Eric Berry in 2010 not Clausen. It was when he fell to the second round when the shit got busier on him.

It sucks I have wanted the team to draft 3 QBs over the last decade or so, and each ****ing time we have traded for a backup QB - 2001 Brees, 2009 Sanchez and this year Barkley/I would have accepted Geno as well.

Chan Gailey helped make Thiggy millions. He has surely racked up that much all these years even if at minimum.

I remember that a ton of people wanted Clausen at 5. I don't remember the percentage, so it may have been a majority for Berry.

Brees still kills me. Sanchez would have been a wash with Cassel but it's possible that the second rounder that year could still be on the roster.

It's too bad that Barkley was hurt.

I wanted Clausen at 5 only if Berry was gone at that point.

It is inevitable that Matt Flynn will end up in Oakland. The Raiders aren't taking a QB in the first round. Flynn is best option Palmer goes

Than you should have seen his fail before anyone.

Taking Jimmy Clausen at 5 is worse than anything Pioli did. Yikes.

What an unstoppable team they could be. That's a scary-looking dynasty if I ever saw one.

Ah no....Virginia Kid had a great season, but no...he's nowhere as good as Andrew Luck.

Uh, gee, maybe the quality of their QBs?

To be clear: The Seahawks have done their part in the Matt Flynn trade. It's up to the Raiders and Flynn to push it over the goal line now

Seahawks will get a 2013 draft pick and some sort of conditional pick in 2014 as part of the Matt Flynn trade, if it's completed.

B14ckmon 03-29-2013 03:18 PM

I thought he was going to the Jaguars? I was told by the fat rednecks here that I was wrong when I said he was going to the Raiders.
