Mockers: Your best and your worst selections?

Best: Carpenter. Thank you, Seattle, for making me look like a ****ing genious (CP).

Worst: Cannon. Took him in the second for Chicago. No idea he possibly had cancer.

OnTheWarpath15 04-30-2011 05:17 PM

Without going over and looking, I know I took two Chiefs picks for the Jets and Chargers.

Baldwin at 30 and Bailey in the mid-second.

BossChief 04-30-2011 06:05 PM

I wanted to see how effective my drafting is when stacked up to where the players I took in the mock went in the real draft and I think I did pretty damn good.

I took the # where I took the player and stacked it up against the # the player went at in the real draft to see if the pick was a good value or not.

I totally OWN.

(27) Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa (20) ..........+7
(59) Titus Young, WR, Boise State (44)..............+15
(90) Shane Vereen, RB, Cal (56)........................+34
(123) Julius Thomas, TE, Portland State (129)..........-6
(155) Buster Skrine, CB, Chattanooga (137).............+18
(187) Shiloh Keo, SS/PR, Idaho (144).......................+43
(217)Jeremy Kerley, WR/PR, TCU (153)...................+64
(218) Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh ...only player I took for Atlanta that wasn't drafted. ..........................................that equates to a -3

Thats an overall +172.....every pick was a great value and the only undrafted player was a late 7th rounder!

OWNAGE!

Now for the Browns...

(6) Julio Jones, WR, Alabama (6)...................nailed it
(37) Christian Ballard, DL, Iowa (106)................-69
(68) Sione Fua, DT, Stanford (97).......................-29
(101) Derrick Locke, RB, Kentucky ...not drafted......ouch... -120
(133) Nathan Enderle, QB, Idaho (160)......................-27
(163) Jalil Brown, CB, Colorado (118)......................+45
(165) Roy Helu, RB, Nebraska (105)......................+60

That Locke pick really hurt (****ed up part is that was the pick I let my buddy make for me because he is a Brown fan)

The overall score for my Browns draft is a -140

Combined score of two teams is +32

I made 15 picks and 13 of them were drafted...that's gotta be the top dog.

87% rate of drafted players

Another fun year.

Thanks again for letting me participate!

How do your drafts grade out?

1) remember, we didnt have as many picks as the real draft due to no comp picks
2) if you picked a player that went undrafted, you get dinged for each slot missed by and the total picks in the mock was 221.

Did I win?

I ****ing did awful in the Alt draft

if this was 2009, I'd be Lemon_Pioli. I suck at draft value.

Can't really look at it that way.

We start almost 2 full months before the real draft starts. A lot of things happen in that time - medical issues come out, etc.

RealSNR 04-30-2011 08:26 PM

Chris Conte (had him last pick in the 5th round)

Also, I think I should get credit for drafting Jake Locker to the Vikings. I saw this rush on first QBs coming a mile away months ahead of this lockout shit. It's only four spots, but still.

Chiefs=Champions 04-30-2011 10:26 PM

Best:

Tyron Smith to the Cheifs at 21.
Greg little to the Chiefs in the bottom of the 3rd
Marvin Austin to the 49rs in the second
Sione Fua to the chiefs in the 3rd.

also PP7 to the 49rs in the 1st?

Worst:
Edmund Gates to the 49rs in the 3rd.

For the most part i was about on the mark for value. Meaning i didnt get any huge steals or any terrible picks...

The Franchise 04-30-2011 10:28 PM

Rob Housler in the 6th (went in the 3rd)

Justin Houston in the 1st (went in the 3rd)

BossChief 04-30-2011 11:38 PM

Derrick locke was my worst as I took him in the fourth and he went undrafted. Ballard dropped because of the failed drug test at the combine.

Best would be (60 slots) or kerley (64 slots)

Direckshun 04-30-2011 11:57 PM

I think my best pick was Brooks Reed for the Texans in the 2nd, because... he went to the Texans in the 2nd.

Serious answer in a few.

Direckshun 05-01-2011 12:05 AM

Texans:

1. Nick Fairley (he went in the 1st)
2. Brooks Reed (2nd)
3. Brandon Burton (5th)
4. Kendrick Ellis (3rd)
5. Joe Lefeged (UDFA)
6. Virgil Green (6th)
7. some punter (UDFA)

Ravens

1. JJ Watt (1st)
2. Barksdale (3rd)
3. Niles Paul (5th)
4. Shareece Wright (3rd)
6. Dwayne Harris (6th)
7. Kevin Rutland (UDFA)
7. John Bender (UDFA)

Who has two thumbs and does his ****ing research? :D

Basically all the picks went roughly where they ended up.

Joe Lefeged was really my only strikeout, but he was a 5th rounder.

I could count slots if I wanted but meh.

ChiefsCountry 05-01-2011 12:32 AM

I'll do the Cowboys one later but it sucked compared to the Chiefs.

1. Akeem Ayers (2nd)
2. Stefen Wisniewski (2nd)
3. Jerrell Powe (6th)
4. Austin Pettis (3rd)
5. Vincent Brown (3rd)
5. Stevan Ridley (3rd)
7. Rob McGill (undrafted)

BossChief 05-01-2011 01:23 AM

Ayers was the #39 and you took him at 21........................ -18
Wisnewski got taken at #48 and you took him at #55 .............. +7
Powe went at #199 and you selected him at #86.................. -113
Pettis went at #78 and you took him at #117 nice value...... +39
Brown went at #82 and you took him at #132.....................+49
Ridley went at #73 and you took him at #137......................+64
McGill went undrafted and you took him at 212 ...................-9

Total score for the Chiefs draft would be +19 unless I miscounted something.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-01-2011 01:58 AM

Jaiquawn Jarrett went in the second and I drafted him in the seventh.

Bump 05-01-2011 10:34 AM

Correct picks:

I was the only one picking Jake Locker early in the first, although I was off by 4 picks.
