Besides, that contract will look like a bargain in a few years.

Flacco's not worth nearly that much, but 31 teams in the NFL should be thrilled that he got it.

I think he is getting at that they tied up a massive amount of cap space on one guy, therefore being detrimental to the team in a major way~

My opinion is Flacco had a hell of a stretch, one for the ages really, and will soon return to his off and on medicore self making that contract rediculous.

Apparently you dont understand how NFL QBs get paid. Win a Superbowl, get an inflated, and most likely, backloaded, contract. Tis the nature of the business.

Well, if he was getting at what hometeam explained, then he has a bit of a point.

I haven't seen the yearly numbers, but I think I remember hearing Peyton got $19.5. If they're giving Flacco $20+, they'll likely have to let go/pass on some other talented players.

Could work out better for the rest of us. Especially if Flacco turns into a fat cat.
