Thank you sir, that brought back some good memories. Last time I've had it was at an @DEN game when the wife and I were tailgating with a bunch of other Chiefs fans.

nice.

For store bought I have never found anything that can beat Stubbs.

Stubb's is good for a Texas sauce, it's the closest thing to Gates, but not quite as good as Gates. Another Texas sauce I like is Jardine's.

However, it's not barbecue. Danes don't quite have that down yet. The sandwich to a Dane must be loaded with all sorts of veggies. The pulled pork sandwich I had was laden with cole slaw, and while a good sandwich, it was not a barbecue sammich. My sauce didn't help much with the slaw on it. In a few years, they might figure it out: barbecue is about the meat, and slaw is good as a side. If they start using hickory to smoke the pork, that will be a huge step forward as well.

You'll see this up and down the Carolina coast

Hip your buddy to the mustard/vinegar/cayenne sauces. Slow smoke, shred in a tub, slather in Carolina sauce.

but it can be as simple as mustard vinegar cayenne, done.

You can find a lot of good stuff including Cowtown BBQ sauce and the Blues Hog products here: http://www.thekansascitybbqstore.com

That looks about like the Danish version, too. Once they start visiting the real barbecue centers of the USA, then they will catch on.

Yeah, no hatin' bud. I understand it's a regional thing.

OK Joe's has a Carolina Style sammich. It was on special once, so I thought I'd try it just to see. Cole slaw and vinegar on good BBQ meat just ain't my thing....

Anyone ever tried Peartree BBQ sauce? They were originally in Bevier MO. now in Macon MO. called AJ's, Best I have had of store bought sauce.

Ok, so I was at Ace Hardware up north and came across the Night of the Living BBQ sauce that several of you have mentioned.

It's good. Real good. It is a bit hotter than my family would like, but right up my alley. I still like rufus Teague better though.

Yeah, my fiancee won't eat it because it's pretty warm; but I love it for that. It has everything I want in a sauce.

She can stick with the Sweet Baby Ray's and I have my own bottle in the fridge she won't touch. Works out great.

Sticky Fingers Carolina Sweet is a good sauce when your in the mood for something sweet and less tangy.
