Scott Pioli's first press conference thread
 

Sources told FOX 4 News Pioli was Chiefs' owner Clark Hunt's top choice. On Wednesday, Pioli will fly to Dallas to meet with Hunt to sign a contract. After Dallas, Pioli will fly to Kansas City with his new boss.

While in Kansas City, he will meet with the Chiefs staff. There are about 180 employees who keep the organization running. Pioli will be responsible for the football operations and will report directly to Clark Hunt.

Pioli will formally be introduced during a news conference at the Chiefs Administrative facility at 5 p.m.(Central time) Wednesday.

The presser will be live on FOX 4 News locally here iin the KC area.

Started this thread with my 17,000 post. I need a life.

He'll have to address the coaching situation.

I'm gonna laugh my balls off if he says anything resembling "5 year plan."

I'm sure he'll beat around the bush...

$100 bucks says his response is something along the lines of "We'll be evaluating the coaching staff over the next several days. When we know something, you'll know something. Next question."

Then the "DAMMIT SCOTT'S" can start in earnest.

It's never too soon.... but I don't think it'll happen.

If what Fox said is true no way he's not in KC before noon. That leaves him with about 2-4 hours to "officially" fire Herm?

I agree. This oughta be hilarious.

I said in another thread that the only time I want to hear a combination of "5", "year", and "plan" coming out of his mouth in one sentence would be in 2014...

"5 SB's in consecutive seasons was great, but I plan on winning 1 more with the Chiefs next year!!!"

I hope that the Chiefs are flying him on something better than Southwest.

Before the presser. I saw somewhere that he'll meet with all of the staff throughout the day tomorrow. I'm guessing that Herm'll be on his list then.... :-D

There almost no time left to fire Herm. Senior bowl is soon and a new coach must assemble a staff. I wish Clark would have done it after the Cincy ass kicking.
