Config?

I think I have this configured right but about 5 min into my download I got the following error:

"10.21.05 - Week 7 - Chiefs @ Dolphins.avi" : warning from tracker - Unable to connect to your incoming data port (69.148.77.216:6881). This will result in slow downloads. Please check your firewall/router settings

My upload is 44 kb/s
My download is 40 kb/s

I think I've opened up all the right stuff.

Linksys Router - Forward it my machine
Ports open on ZoneAlarm 6881-9

Any ideas?

I'd say Azureus is wrong. I'm getting approximately the same download speed and my ports are configured correctly.

6881-9 is usually blocked by ISPs... you can insert a random number in there and that should fix it.
i use a port in the 28000 range and its fine

Are you getting green lights? Even though your'e using zone alarm are you positive that your Windows XP firewall isn't on as well? You'd need to open that up too. Even if you think it's off I'd double check it.

The advise to change port range is good. Also, Azureus doesn't need more than a single port open so you don't have to do a range.

Based on the speeds you're getting right now it seems like most is ok, but the error wouldn't show up for nothing. Try changing to a different port and making sure it's open everywhere and see if that helps.

I'm not having much luck downloading these. I bypassed my router and plugged my desktop straight into the modem to get around the modem's firewall (Couldn't remember my username and password). That took care of the unable to connect to incoming data port message I was getting. I get home this afternoon and I keep getting a message that says "Permisson denied"

Any ideas?

First, plug your router back in. Just get the ports opened correctly and you won't have a problem.

As for the permission denied error the only thing I've found (google) is that this could happen if you already have an instance of your BT client running when you open the next one. Make sure you check your task manager to see if an instance is running before you open the next one.

At this point I'd check the task manager, close everything that has anything to do with your BT client and try again.

Anyone else having a problem viewing this. Plays fine up until about the 29 minute mark. At that point the picture freezes and the sound keeps playing. The picture won't move again until after the 1 hour and 6 1/2 minute mark. Just me or anyone else?

Same problem here.

ZootedGranny 10-23-2005 08:11 PM

I just got on to say the same thing.

DRU 10-23-2005 08:12 PM

Well, shit guys. Something apparently messed up during the encoding process. Usually if the file plays there isn't anything wrong but I guess that's not the case.

I'm afraid my original is gone now too. Looks like I screwed this one up...and it just so happen to be the one many of you didn't get to see.

Sorry!!!

DRU 10-23-2005 08:15 PM

Looks like it's the second QTR. I'm not sure what happened but I guess during the appending process something got screwy.

I can't apoligize enough guys. 3/4 better than nothing, though, right?

jjjayb 10-23-2005 08:38 PM

No need to apologize. You've done sooo much for us already you're allowed a snafu or two. 3 quarters IS better than none.
