I wish this offense were a smelly turd.

It would be an upgrade. Smith completely ****ing sucks, and will lead us nowhere. God help us if Charles cops another injury this season.

This defense is the hottest shit to ever slide out of Marcellus' dirty whore mother's asshole, though.

That is all.

Off to work.

RealSNR 10-27-2013 02:35 PM

Smith had his worst game of the year, even with the two TD passes.

The inaccuracy and poor decisions when reading the defense are costing us drives. Drives that will lose us games if he keeps ****ing the chicken.

At least he gets a bit of a break next week. Buffalo's defense isn't as good as Cleveland's or Houston's. Or Oakland's for that matter.

l4z4rd 10-27-2013 02:35 PM

Offense had a horrible 3rd and 4th quarter. Defense had a forgettable 2nd and 3rd quarter.

-King- 10-27-2013 02:36 PM

What happened after half time? We were humming on offense in the 1st half. Then couldn't do shit in the 2nd.

Didn't Fasano in the 2nd half as much either. I think he's a key to how we run our offense.

CrazyPhuD 10-27-2013 02:36 PM

Well at least we should be able to upgrade it with our 2014 2nd rounder.....oh wait....

Fisher ****ed up the first two drives, but Smith wasn't touched. He was on the run and threw some terrible passes. There's 8 points.

In the second half he was a miserable puke. The worst.

I don't know if he was just off his game today or what, but he was NOT good. He played much better football against Oakland and Tennessee.

I don't think our offense clicked any more then they did before, it's just our screens, the bread and butter of the yards accumulated in the first half, were catching the Browns defenders out of position because they were blitzing.

That's what's so great. 8-0 after a 2-14 season and we're still getting "Smith sucks, won't lead us ANYWHERE." This forum is going to implode when we get our first loss.

20 points in the first half. Also, exploiting what the defense is doing is the entire game of football.. just in case you didn't know..

The defense they were playing was better than people want to give credit for.

Cleveland is not a horrible team if they don't turn it over. Yet, it was a turnover that ultimately cost them.

Credit is given where credit is due.

But, again, as it has all season, the defense and special teams stepped up when it had to.

Eleazar 10-27-2013 02:56 PM

If you want to just carry this out to its logical conclusion, this is the way you have to win in the postseason.

You have to win when your strength isn't working for you that day, you have to win ugly, you have to find ways to adapt when you play a team that can shut you down in one facet of the game.

Even for good teams, it's not pretty most of the time.

The vast majority of pressure was the result of blitzes as far as I saw. That is not entirely on the offensive line.

Yes, after the Browns eliminated the screen our offense had nothing to respond with. I'm not sure if this is due to Smith's ineptitude or Andy's inability at adjustments, but this makes me nervous.

They didn't eliminate shit. We just didn't run it at all in the 2nd half. We ran it maybe 2 times in the second half, all for good gains.

Smith has always taken a lot of sacks. It's because he can't get his eyes off the rush.

That's because the Brown's were blitzing. I will analyze this further later this week. But there were several blitzes where Smith needs to go to his hot and just can't get his eyes off the pass rush.

No exaggeration at all, every time there was a crucial third down it was matador time for Fisher.

I guess you can be an angry, pissed off mother****er or you can enjoy the win, being 8-0, and first place in the AFC west.

The problem is we still don't know how good this team is. And that makes me and a lot of other fans very anxious. The NFL did us no favors by saving all of our division games towards the end. That's where we're gonna have to get the meat of our schedule, and it will also show who we really are.

This is the thing. You just don't get that many chances in the NFL, and you have to capitalize when you do. He's not only missing EASY touchdown passes, even when he has plenty of time, he's killing drives too. There was a drive during a crucial part of the 4th quarter where he missed Hemingway wide open on a slant that would've been good for at least 7 yds because for some reason, he was afraid to throw it. Hemingway was as open as you can possibly be on a 5yd slant and Smith had a clear window, but pulled the ball down and took a sack. Then on 3rd-and-2, he missed a wide open Hall--again with no pressure--again with a clear window. He absolutely killed a potential game-icing drive because he couldn't make 2 throws your average college QB could make. You're a well below-average NFL QB if you can't make those throws.

I love that we're 8-0. We've already won more games than I thought we would this year. Anything else is just gravy. But Alex Smith is a crappy QB. Kind of like a Matt Cassel, but with the shit-the-bed knob dialed back to about 8 instead of 10.
