Can you name the movie with most Oscar WINNERS to date?

Ok. I was watching Shakespeare in Love on television, and realized it had several Oscar winners (Winners now, not at the time necessarily) Gwyneth Paltrow, Judi Dench, Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth, Ben Affleck, for a total of 5.

It made me think about what movie had the most winners. I did look for a minute online, and found movies that had the most nominations and winners. I only want winners.

The other movie I can think of is Hamlet, the Kenneth Branagh version. It had 7 winners...Richard Attenborough, Julie Christie, Judi Dench, Charlton Heston, Jack Lemon, Robin Williams and Kate Winslest.

What movies am I missing?

And if this is Q, well, I will drink some antifreeze and climb to the top of my aids tree before setting it on fire. Thanks.

Just actors and actresses or crew and directors and all that too?

Hamlet (1996): Kate Winslet, Julie Christie, Robin Williams, Judi Dench, Charlton Heston, Jack Lemmon, John Gielgud, John Mills and Richard Attenborough (Best Director winner). (9) (Kenneth Branagh, and possible other cast members, will join the list in the future.)

Just actors right? Directors and technical credits don't count?

But the oscars do not have to be for acting.

How the West Was Won has 6. Henry Fonda, Karl Malden, Gregory Peck, James Stewart, John Wayne, and Walter Brennan.

The Player I think technically would win, but many of them were cameos of themselves, so not so much in the spirit of "total performers with an acting award at some point in their career."

The end of that movie is so awesome.

OK. Since there were so many cameos, I checked IMDB. This movie has the most so far with 10 winners...Tim Robbins, Whoopi Goldberg (I hate that I have to count her,) Sydney Pollack, Cher (I hate that she counts as well,) James Coburn, Anjelica Houston, Jack Lemon, Marlee Matlin, Julia Roberets and Susan Sarandon.

But underEJ is correct, most of those are just cameos.

Three films have received the so-called Big Five Academy Awards (best picture, director, actor, actress, and screenplay (original or adapted)):
It Happened One Night (1934)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Most Oscars won by a film are:

Ben Hur (1959)
Titanic (1997)
Lord of the Rings 3 (2003)

Each won 11.

Katherine Hepburn won 4 best actress nods. Daniel Day-Lewis has won 3 best actor.
