Cool Old Home Movie of John Prine
 

Sitting around the kitchen, smoking and playing guitar with friends. This guy is a great songwriter and American treasure. And this is a really wonderful song. Check it out:

Kind of weird that this song (That's the Way the World Goes Round, in spite of all the Happy Enchiladas that lady wanted:)) happens to be the only John Prine song I know, and I knew what it was as soon as he started playing it.

I guess I'll go ahead and admit now that the only reason I know anything about Prine is that my absolute two favorite artists, Miranda Lambert and Jewel, have both said how much they idolize the guy. And Miranda covered this very song a few years ago and went a little nuts with it. You'd probably hate it.

I've had the good fortune of seeing JP 4 times live. He's always amazing and leaves me in tears at some point during the show.
