Hunt won't commit on next year's Chiefs ticket prices JEFFREY FLANAGAN The Chiefs will not have a winning season and are about to go their 11th straight season without a playoff victory. Sounds like a perfect opportunity for the team to announce it has absolutely no intention of hiking its season ticket prices again next season. But we'll have to wait on that news. “Honestly, we really haven't discussed it,” Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt said. “We haven't had any communication within the organization about that subject.” But doesn't Hunt believe that ultimately not raising ticket prices again would be a good-faith gesture toward the fans, especially after such a dreadful season? “I'd rather not comment on that until the season is over,” Hunt said. “Not much can happen for us from a playoff perspective, but there's still a lot of season to be played. “We normally don't even discuss those issues until after the season is over. We do have monthly meetings with Chiefs management, and maybe it will come up then. But really I haven't given much thought to it.” Last year the Chiefs increased ticket prices 15 percent, believed to be the largest spike in franchise history. Parking prices also were raised. |
When I see a few quoted answers without the questions I have no confidence in the author. And why is this an issue with four games left in the season unless someone has their own agenda? Does flanagan think we can fire Lamar? This is just dumb.
