FWIW : Gretz just said ......

Huard will be our # 3 QB and that we will pobally carry 4 QB's on the 53 man roster to start with due to Collins injury.

Huard ?

Quinn has clearly out performed him at this point in preseason games.

Hammock Parties 08-27-2005 10:59 PM

I wouldn't go that far. Yes, Huard had a bad game last week, but you shove Quinn out there with the third stringers immediately (instead of the first stringers when Green left tonight) and he fares no better.

I'd like to see more of Huard because I think he's better than 1 for 12.

The only thing I don't like is carry 2 scrubs not worth having on the roster rather than only 1. No way we should be having 4 QBs on this roster when 2 of them are Huard and Quinn :Lin:

I wish Quinn was younger, his arm is pretty nice.

And this would mean that somone who might actually have a chance at helping this team, probabbly on STs, will be cut.

When Collins is healthy, I see no reason to have either one of these giant turds on the roster.

Cut Huard now, and Quinn when Collins is ready.

Hammock Parties 08-27-2005 11:08 PM

Giant turds?

I love how everyone around here is so quick to judge after one bad game.

WTF, he's 30.

He's in his prime, at the freakin' peak of his performance.

These are his best suckage years!

Agreed, that 4th QB is going to cost us a roster spot for a ST's player.

What is the status of Collins, how long is he out for ?

I saw Huard in Miami.
I saw Quinn in Chicago and Jax.

I'm not making judgement after one game.

By the time Trent is gone, Quinn will be too old. I want a QBOTF.

Kilian is the closest thing right now, but he certainly doesn't have an arm like Quinn.

Huard's stats in 99 and 00 were pretty decent. Especially 99.

Quinn was shoved into a bad situation in Chicago. And I guarantee you, had he been on the roster for a few months before tonight, he would have performed much better.

I mean jeez. He didn't even throw a pick!

I wouldn't call those decent.

And the bad situation in Chicago was Rex Grossman getting injured, and Quinn starting.

8 touchdowns, 4 interceptions....pretty decent.

Admit it. You are knee jerking over the 1 for 12 fiasco.

No.

I'm knee jerking over a Dilferesque QB being asked to play in an offense that needs a QB that is asked to do more than not lose the game.
