I think the number of asterisks should be determined by the starting pitcher's spot in the rotation.

now in santana's case it would be 2 *s, because he is the number 2 starter in our rotation. but in all actuality, he should be a number 4.

therefore, in my post, i gave 3 *s. that is my justification.
