Dynamic running-back duos
Dynamic running-back duos
Chiefs running backs Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones rank among the top running- back duos in recent NFL history and have a chance to rush for more yards than any combination this decade. <table class="story-table" border="0"><tbody><tr class="story-table-even-row"><td>Year </td><td> Team </td><td>Running backs</td><td align="right">Yards* </td></tr> <tr class="story-table-odd-row"><td>2008 </td><td> Carolina </td><td> DeAngelo Williams (1,515), Jonathan Stewart (836) </td><td align="right"> 2,351</td></tr> <tr class="story-table-even-row"><td>2003 </td><td> Baltimore </td><td> Jamal Lewis (2,066), Chester Taylor (276) </td><td align="right"> 2,342</td></tr> <tr class="story-table-odd-row"><td>2010 </td><td> Chiefs </td><td>Jamaal Charles (1,303), Thomas Jones (828) </td><td align="right"> 2,131</td></tr> </tbody></table>* Total rushing yards <div_prefs id="div_prefs"></div_prefs> |
And a lot more balanced of a duo... which hopefully will pay off in the post season.

you can do it.GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
that 276 chester taylor really shouldn't be in there lol
|
We'll probably get 250 on the Titans.

I'm hoping for Jones to break a couple of long ones just so he can make a 1000 this year as well. Also if he has a good game it'll save a little wear-n-tear on JC.

Didn't this decade just start ?

To me on just a stats level Williams&Stewart had a more impressive year in 2009 with even more balance. Slightly less total, but over 1100 each with both guys over 5 per is way impressive. One thing about Charles&Jones is that the team is translating it into wins on a team that others did not see coming.

Just think. It was a little over a year ago Larry Johnson was the starting running back. Ya think sending his ass packing worked out ok?
|
The Obamma-Bush backfield- too good to be true.
Batman and Rob'n backfield. Just steal'n yards. The Ali backfield - float'n like a butterfly and sting'n like a bee. |
Didn't this decade just start?
