Jared Gaither
Remember how he was supposed to be awesome? He was active against the Lions.
Where the hell is he? I know we didn't cut him. Why don't we put his fat ass on the field? |
Who?
|
You can say that (remember how he was supposed to be awesome) about every FA we signed this year except Breaston. They've all been major disappointments, including Breaston up until Week 4.
|
He's getting in football shape. He'll be starting soon (i ****ing hope).
|
I have been wondering the same thing. Especially given the less than stellar play of #67.
The only times i have seen him is when we bring an extra OL, or when #76 went down for a bit. |
The Raiders were right when they failed his ass.

We're saving him for the playoffs.

Quit shitting on my family. Jesus.

I think (hope) the thinking behind this is, lets wait till he's fully healthy. Because if he is healthy now and isn't playing, thats on the coaching staff becausee he is tons better than Richardson.

I vaguely recall the announcers saying Gaither was in the game when KC kneeled the final play or two this past week.
|
How hasn't McClain been a disappointment?

How's he been as a lead blocker? How 'bout as a pass catcher?

I was sure the coaching staff checked with chiefsplanet every week before deciding the inactives each week. Bummer to hear that's not true. My guess is if he's still inactive because he's not ready to get on the field yet.

They arent going to plug in Gaither ALOT unless someone gets hurt. They dont want to put to much on him because of the issues he has had with his back. I think they want to just bring him on slowly, let his back get stronger and stronger and hope that eventually his back problems will be an issue of the past.
At least thats how i think they are doing it. I know HE cannot be worse then Richardson, so for me, its the only reasonable explanation. |

Haley also said today that Gaither can play both left and right tackle now. #chiefs |

Its hard to consider logic while dealing with the Chiefs. I mean look @ the QB position.
|
I'm thinking this is the week he starts at RT.

You guys do realize he played a few snaps last week right?
|
Reminds me of Kyle Turley. Kyle Turley was supposed to be a bad ass, but with his back issues he was just bad.

Now it's "a few snaps". The guy basically has been a letdown. Thought we could have had a steal. Guess not. |

About time for a benching?
Right tackle Barry Richardson (-6.6) has displayed some horrible performances in a Chiefs uniform. This most recent one marks the third time this season Richardson has graded at -6.0 or worse, which, frankly, indicates that he’s just not that good of a tackle. So how much longer can Richardson turn in these kind of games before the Chiefs go to Jared Gaither, either at right tackle himself or by moving Brandon Albert there and inserting Gaither on the left. Gaither has shown he can get it done in the past and though he is something of an enigma right now, wouldn’t it be better to see if he can still play than to let the guy who rarely if ever plays at a high level continue inhibiting the offense? Poor pass protection over the last few weeks has already cost Cassel some time and potentially the season. Sooner or later, Richardson is going to run out of opportunities. |
When Gaither came in last week, he came in for Albert.
Im still wondering what we got in this Maneri guy we picked up off NE cuts way back when. |
