This Weeks Gambling Thread (9/9-9/15/03)
 

There is a short write up on our weekly winner (Old Codger) and our worst performances by hawaiianboy and Coogs on the homepage. Read about them at Winners and Losers

1. Go to Leader Board to insure your name is on the list of competitors this season. Also check your totals. Gambling with more than your total amount will disqualify you from the week.

2. If your name appears then you can go to 9/14/03 Odds to get the info to place your bets. Refresh the page BEFORE you decide on your bets.

3. Come back here and place your bets. Remember to follow the rules listed on Gambling Home Page Rules

I will take your bets from this page and place them on the web page listed in #2 above.

I STRONGLY advice that you refresh the pages before referring to them, especially if you have cookies activated.

Also note this very important fact: You are responsible for insuring your bets are placed accurately. Check it to insure your bets are correct. Remember - only you can prevent bad bet placement

IMPORTANT RULE - DO NOT EDIT YOUR BETS AFTER YOU HAVE PLACED THEM. INSTEAD START A NEW REPLY WITH THE WORDS "CHANGE BET(S)" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST

This will help me in keeping up with bet placement and changes without becoming an accountant and referee.

I won 1000 on the Falcons and Broncos. I lost 1000 on the Rams and 500 on SD/KC over.

I forgot about the juice. This is my first season on the gambling thread and I forgot that was part of the game.

I had 1000 on Bucs/Eagles under 36.

There should be a way you can check as a moderator that I didn't edit the post.

Also, I don't understand how I can win 4 of 5 $1000 bets and walk away with only $1700.

I'm new to this, so can you let me know what I'm not picking up on here? Thanks! :)

There is a way to check. And yes, it was my mistake. You moved from tied in 9th place to sole possession of 6th.

Codger - Obviously anyone who would be insulted will not be picked on ----- ahh, who am I kidding, yes they will.

I knew you have a good sense of humor. I just thought it would add a little spice to the game to see our names mentioned once in awhile.
