I'm like, **** the NFL. We're never going to be any good.

When I was a kid, and Montana's head dinged off the Buffalo Astro-Turf...that was it.

That was as good as it's ever been.

I guesss it's kinda like crack...that first hit was so good and sweet, I keep chasing the dragon, trying to get that feeling back.

Being a Chiefs fan is like being a crackhead - useless, futile, repetitive...

So become an Arizona Cardinals fan?

I take it you're not familiar with anything more than their recent history...

Oh, I remember plenty - not quite old enough to remember them moving from St. L...but I remember Timm Rosenbach, and Joe Bugel. I remember that they drafted Garrison Hearst. I remember they were almost decent, and then Buddy Ryan signed Seth Joyner and Boomer Esiason and then blew the whole thing up and quit at halftime of the Christmas Eve (or Night) game against the Cowboys. I remember Jake Plummer and Dave McGinist...

That's really my point; I'd rather be a Cardinals fan - the futility is not only acceptable, it's expected.

Whereas expecting this franchise to ever pull its collective head out if its ass and
actually be GREAT again??

Well, I just don't see it happening.

Todd Haley gets every single ounce of productivity from even the shittiest players on the roster (see : Matt Cassel)

Wherever he goes, I hope that team does well.

I am under no illusions that the Chiefs will be seriously competitive for a decade, at least.

When in reality...

Pioli sucks.

Haley sucks.

Cassel sucks.

"Pioli is forcing Haley to work with Cassel. That's is why he sucked!"

Well...

"Pittsburgh is forcing Haley to work with Roethlisberger and he still sucks!"

Dude, Pittsburgh's defense gave up a ton of yards and points. Going no huddle always stresses your defense, and Haley not using it late in the game makes good solid sense to me, sorry.

I'm not a 'OMG Haley is awesome' guy. I think he had some good points and in some ways was in clearly over his head, but I think in Pittsburgh he's done a good job and did a good job yesterday in particular.

Oh, and another thing-
Roethlisberger threw what was basically a pick six in OT. He wants to hang the loss on Haley? **** him.

Don't know if you were watching the same game I was...

but it seems pretty obvious why Miller wasn't goong out for passes - your tackles needed HELP, 'dawg'.

And you can try and throw your OC under the bus, but...you can't blame him for that pick in OT - that's one's on you, BB...

So, suck it up - you play in a 'Big Boy' offense, with reads and progressions and whatnot, and it has actually made you a 'more efficient' QB...

You just CAN'T throw interceptions in OT - you just can't. Big Ben blaming Haley for that is childish and immature. Bad decision on Ben's part to throw that pass during the game, and even worse decision to throw his play caller under the bus after.

I'm kinda iffy on Haley, but I agree with this.

Blaming the playcalling when you throw away the game is weak sauce.

If Haley does go back to Arizona, better take the mothballs of your Breaston jerseys, he'll be a 60 catch guy again in no time.

The talent on the line and especially at running back are a hell of a lot worse this year. That's not coaching, that's personnel. But all in all, the steelers are blocking with better technique and big Ben is getting rid of the ball a hell of a lot faster. Ben is upset because he can't freelance but you cannot have him do that at his age behind this offensive line.

Their offense has been very good this yea despite a lot of adversity. The steelers have built their team around the defense being stingy with points and aggressive I'm creating turnovers. They're not doing either. And so you have way too many games like yesterday where the offense is productive but you end up losing.

Kansas City - Where 20th ranked offenses is a good job.

Deberg_1990 12-23-2012 05:15 PM

Wouldn't shock me if he's gone from Pittsburgh. He's not a good fit there. They just got bumped from the playoffs and their offense took a step backwards.

Haley blows, but I'll bet the Cards want him as a HC.

WHY

why would anyone want that angry little man who blames everyone but his ****ing self when shit goes wrong?

Just because this season has been a horror story doesn't mean we need to get desperate and go after whoever is available, nobody seems to like that guy and so far he's ONLY proven he can win with Kurt Warner, Bolden and Fitzgerald.

I hate the off season talk, it's always filled with shit like this. Romeo sucks, and was a horrible choice, Haley sucks and is a horrible idea.

FFS bring some good ideas instead of this shit.

Dude, don't know if you've been watching this season and remembering the last 6 years, Pitt has taken a pretty big step back with Haley, that is painfully obvious and you have to be blind not to see his imprint on that team has not been good, decent or anything remotely close to previous years.
