Vegas Odds on Chiefs winning super bowl
before Alex Smith
50:1 after getting Alex Smith 50:1 Chiefs' Super Bowl odds not impacted by trade for Alex Smith LVH stands pat on Kansas City’s number The Chiefs far from contender status even after bringing aboard QB Alex Smith. By: The Linemakers | More Experts Published: Feb 27, 2013 Las Vegas is unimpressed with the Kansas City Chiefs’ move to acquire Alex Smith from the San Francisco 49ers as their new starting quarterback. The Chiefs, before the trade for Smith, were listed by the LVH SuperBook at 50-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, and they remain at that same price after news of the deal broke Wednesday, the LVH’s Jeff Sherman noted on Twitter. K.C. is 25-to-1 to win the AFC next season. With the deal for Smith, the Chiefs "were trying to clean up the quarterback mess they had in toggling between Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn last season," writes Sporting News NFL expert Vinnie Iyer. "To them, Smith looks like a solution, someone who posted a most attractive 104.1 passer rating last season and 20-5-1 record as a starter — including playoffs — over the past two seasons in San Francisco." But the Chiefs, at 2-14, were tied with the Jaguars for the NFL's worst record this past season. And even after the hiring of coach Andy Reid and the addition of Smith — who's certainly not of elite NFL status — it's hard to envision K.C. becoming an immediate contender for the Lombardi Trophy. |

I'll still throw $10 at each when I'm there in a few weeks.

when I was in Vegas for the Super Bowl they had the sheet out for futures higher than they are now.

The ****? Why did they even have the Chiefs at 50:1 to begin with? Most of the credible ones I have seen had a mixture of the Raiders/Jags/Chiefs at anywhere from 100-200:1

Andy Reid > Romeo Crennel
Alex Smith = Matt Cassel Sounds about right.... |
I put $5 on it to win $750

Why not throw a twenty at this? Mickelson would do it.

Bet now before Cassel goes off the roster.
