Removing old Wall Paper
I need to remodel my tent. What is the best way to remove old wall paper? Seriously, I think the last guy used super glue.

Piss on it. repeat every time you feel the need to urinate. In three Weeks it will fall off.
Man I'm glad I've never had wall paper Posted via Mobile Device |
Steam and peel

Pump sprayer with water and a mudknife. Go gently as you dont want to tear up the dry wall. Get off the wallpaper then use the pump sprayer on the glue and a mudknife

As said before, pump sprayer and mud knife. Also, make sure to take plenty of snow coffee breaks. Wallpaper removal is hard work.

I dont mind doing it actually. Skimming the walls with joint compound and sanding that is the pain in the ass

Hot water...little soap in a spray bottle. Peel the first layer of the wallpaper...the glue remains. Use the warm soapy water on the glue, use a wide putty knife. And lots of patience. This process will take a couple of hours per wall. Next thing on your list...NEVER put up wallpaper in your life. It's outdated anyway.

Just remember careful taking the glue off. The smoother the underneath sheetrock the better your wall will look and for ****s sake use Sherwin Williams Duration Home Matte Finish paint. Its the best on the market. Ive been painting with my dad for 8 years. Its durable and washable

I've done it a few times using vinegar and water and it's worked really well. I used a pump sprayer to do it and made sure I got it behind the wallpaper to the glue so the vinegar would work well to dissolve the glue. When it starts peeling you can use a paint scraper(gently) to peel the wall paper and the glue off. Your house will smell like vinegar for a day or so but you will save a ton of time and money doing that way.
