Peyton Manning on 610

My understanding is he's supposed to be doing a live interview anytime now and he's going to talk about why he didn't sign here in KC. Saw it on Facebook, not positive how accurate it is but that's what I read. And they're talking Peyton right now, so we'll see.

DaWolf 11-21-2012 02:10 PM

Doubt he'll say anything of note. He's a diplomat...

Rain Man 11-21-2012 02:12 PM

I'm betting that he won't confess about the under-the-table money he got from Elway and Bowlen.

Not to mention the underage boys.

Deberg_1990 11-21-2012 02:16 PM

My guess is he wont mention what a complete tool he is.

I knew that trip to Thailand was suspicious.

ghak99 11-21-2012 02:17 PM

~4pm.... Doesn't want to talk about the FA deal.

Chief Roundup 11-21-2012 02:17 PM

not til 4 they just said. Peyton has said he doesn't want to talk about KC and him not coming here. So they reached out to Archie who also danced around the subject.

Mr. Flopnuts 11-21-2012 02:18 PM

Apparently he won't be on until 4pm and doesn't want anything to do with talking about why he didn't want to come here.

pr_capone 11-21-2012 02:18 PM

Why would he do this interview? Makes no sense.

He's doing conference calls with all of KC media right now.

wazu 11-21-2012 02:20 PM

I hope somebody confronts him with a hard-hitting question of some kind.

"Peyton, what gives you the right to, in the middle of filming a one-time-shot Papa John's pizza commercial with Papa John himself, promise customers 1 million more free pizzas than was originally agreed upon?"

Chief Roundup 11-21-2012 02:21 PM

boy this one dude is not the brightest. Doesn't think Manning would help the team exponentually. Doesn't think it would help out the D or make the players around him that much better. Doesn't think that our OLine is very good and Peyton wouldn't really improve their play either.

DaWolf 11-21-2012 02:22 PM

The only way he would have considered coming here is if McDouchebag was still running things in Denver rather than Elway, and if Pioli were not here. And even at that, he would have gone to Tennessee...

That was Pearson. I had to close it right away it was making me so angry how he could say such stupid things.

Thanks for the info...Jayce Pearson They just said. I am just blown away how anyone could think that Manning wouldn't improve all facets of the team. Or that with Manning we wouldn't be a playoff team.

Total douche move on the spot like that.

exactly. We don't want to hear any of your standard, typical, diplomatic NFL double-talk.

Peyton's a pederast.

8 year olds, dude.

ptlyon 11-21-2012 03:34 PM

The reason he didn't sign with us is because he didn't want to deal with the wrath of the SOC

Alot of the former players think the o-line is alot more important than it really is.

When asked about Cassel, the first thing Eddie Kennison says is "offensive line isn't very good".

Same for Trent Green, Len Dawson, Herm Edwards, Priest Holmes, and every other former player I've heard on the radio.

Hammock Parties 11-21-2012 03:46 PM

And yet Cassel is among the league leaders in time to throw.

CoMoChief 11-21-2012 03:58 PM

Oline isn't a problem.....except the Buffalo game. But everyone played like shit that game.

Our QB's are garbage. Good ones make the entire team better, Good QB's can see plays develop and can get the ball out before the defense can react.

Trent Green wasn't anything sepcial. he was a system QB that had one of the best Olines in the history of the NFL blocking for him. We prob won't ever see an Oline like that in KC again. We're all spoiled from the DV years and I think subconsiously we will always compare Oline play to that group during the DV era.

Yeah, and Tony Gonzalez wanted to keep Herm as head coach with Thigpen at QB.

Players can be wrong. All the ****ing time. They live in their own little world and often don't see it as rationally as we do.

They don't see it as rationally as you do? So when 4-5 former players say the same thing, they aren't being rational even though they are 8-10 years removed from the game?

When you have two of the top 20 tackles in the game your pass protection is not an issue.

The fact is that Cassel has always made offensive lines look bad...this dates back to New England.

Most of them want to hold on to this nostalgic notion that they were instrumental in their teams success. It's understandable why former Chiefs would want to diminish the importance of the QB in today's NFL because they never played with one.

Hell, just listen to Darren Sharper and Heath Evans, or Willie McGinest. The first thing out of their mouths is "boy their QB isn't very good". Why? Because they're wearing rings because of a stud QB.

Mother****erJones 11-21-2012 04:16 PM

John elway gives better head and swallows whereas Pioli spits. That's why he we to denverLMAO

Has Eric Winston cried about this in the locker room yet?

I've heard this.

Why is it okay to trash the OL, and not Cassel?

Probably because they all know he's a ****ing giant pussy and feel like trashing him would be like kicking a legless cat...

Sure-Oz 11-21-2012 05:25 PM

Pearson is a douche pretty much.

I'm sure this whole team would be different under Manning. A real leader that can back it up.

He really came off bad in that commercial. The poor pizza guy kept trying to correct him, and Manning wouldn't accept it. He blew millions of dollars of someone else's money through his inability to admit his error.

He's selling pizzas.

Is he related to Pioli?

No, but I did notice the crappy quality in the pizza he sells.

Is there anything Peyton Manning doesn't sell?

I thought he would have been a better spokesman for Jack-In-The-Box.

Manning is a modern day Robin Hood. He was punishing the owner for refusing to set up health care for the workers.

He's douchey enough to be under the Jack head.
