What's with these threads lately?

"John Elway is great!"

"Why Jim Harbaugh is awesome..."

"I'm thinking Nazism might be the way to go..."

Christ. Just because we suck doesn't mean we have to embrace our enemies like they're old pals.

If somebody shuts down their running game, Alex Smith isn't going to take them deep anywhere. I can't think of anything in particular Smith gives you that you couldn't get from the younger guy with more upside.

Harbaugh did miracles with Smith. the throws Smith made against NO last year in the final 8 minutes were throws the guy had never made. I would not rush to replace him, as long as Harbaugh is with him. Away from Harbaugh, I don't think Smith or Kaepernick will do much. My .02.

Experience. In the playoffs, I'm going with experience. I like Kaepernick long term, but not in his second year in a very tough conference.

I love CP.

He's ****ing the worst of Martyball and everyone loves it...

Well I'm not going to predict Kaep is next Tom Brady, but he made some very good NFL QB throws. A couple of them I would even say were elite NFL QB throws.

Matt Cassel would not have even attempted a handful of throws Kaep made last night. It will very interesting to see how Kaeps NFL career proceeds over the next 6-8 months.

My prediction is Smith and Kaep are not both 49ers by 5/1/13.

Experience at what? Playing poorly?

No, Mr. Elliot, whose first name is Lin, was not the engineer.

Marty was.

Marty put Jim Harbaugh in position to do his job.

He followed that up with one of the worst performances you'll ever see in the playoffs against that Giants in tha NFC Champinship game.

It isn't unusual (except in KC) for any backup to come in and perform well in his first game since D's don't know what his strengths/weaknesses are and how the gameplan changed. If Kap gets the nod, it'll be interesting to see how he does 2-3 weeks from now. If he isn't playing well, then Harbaugh looks like an idiot for changing.

Harbaugh can be a hot head, especially after a game. Great players. He can thank Singletary for setting the table.
