They missed seeing him in Mobile because the rest of the QBs made their ****ing eyes bleed...

Geno Smith doesn't need Alex Smith to "mentor" him. He needs to learn from the coaches of what they want him to do. The biggest thing he needs to do is play the & sooner he gets on the field the better.

The more people want Alex Smith for what ever reason here the more I HATE Alex Smith, not as a person, but as yet another reject fail of an attempt to sell us a crap of goods that is still crap.

Major Kill Buzz if A.Smith is brought to KC for QBOTF....I am hoping this FO is smarter than that

It would be awesome to have Alex Smith and draft a qb. Anyone upset about that is a moron.

It would be cool.

But it isn't gonna happen.

Alex Smith coming here means no QB #1.

This is what I pretty much expect but the draft pick needs to be a promising prospect. KC has to fix the forever long QB problem. Doesn't matter if it is with number 1, UDFA, young Vet.....I don't care. Fix this on going issue

How do you know? Its already been pointed out Smith is a stop gap wherever he goes.

To those saying "look at the Seahawks, they did it"

No they really didn't. They signed the big free agent QB, then drafted a QB, in the 3rd round. Not first overall.

Different situation.

So why do we need a stop gap?

If we draft a guy at 1 overall, he better damn well start.

Smith wouldn't be brought in to be QBOTF. Its not the Cassel situation all over, first Smith and Cassel are nothing alike as QBs, and second, Reid is not SP, and wouldn't hold on to Smith and start him without any competition. Reid would always look to improve through the draft. If Smith comes here I believe the Chiefs still draft a QB early.

He doesn't want to be a stopgap. He wants to start.

They signed a big free agent with ONE CAREER START.

Not analogous to Alex Smith in any way, shape, or form.
