Because, with Soderbergh at the helm, there's a good chance that this movie is not simply the sum of its marketing. It might have interesting things to say about the people that work at (and people who attend) these kinds of male strip shows.

Also, if you can't look at the male physique without getting weirded out then you have some issues.

It might be. It might also feature far fewer minutes of actual strip routine than the commercials would indicate. I'm going to take a chance on this.

just have no desire at all to see a movie about men stripping


If i didn't pay good money to see Showgirls then i sure as hell ain't going to pay to see Showboys.
