Ok this may cross the line, but I am not afraid to show my political party favorite and think that it would be fun to see who would win a Presidential election, on a Chiefs Planet.

Let me state- up until the election it is OK to change your vote if you feel the need- on the day of the election all votes will be final, tallied, and official. Please indicate on your post if you are changing a previous vote (this will make it easier for me to keep a running tally on votes.

No Non-candidates will be counted. Example: I really want to vote for ALGORE, but instead i think I will choose Rich Gannon. However, all candidates on the ticket are acceptable (i.e. Ralph Nader)

And with that being said let me cast the first vote for:

George W. Bush

Maybe we can send the results to the news media for a Chiefs fan poll so that they can get a feel for the Football fan vote. Note: non-Chief Fans, feel free to vote, but state that you are not a Chief Fan so that we can run a secondary poll for Non-Chiefs fans picks.

At last a combined FOOTBALL/Political topic.
I'll cast my vote for AL GORE.

I live in Texas and believe me, you don't want the same things that have happened here under Bush to happen to the rest of the country. *grin*

Ok, seriously, I vote for Al Gore.

Why? The lesser of two evils, simply.

I'm voting for George W. Bush.

The guy is going to do more for my paycheck and my cousins in the military. Gore likes government programs that dont work and he comes off wayyyyy fake.

Oregon Chief Fan 10-05-2000 11:04 AM

Early indications on the Chiefs planet indicate a dead heat....

Bush- 2
Gore- 2

This could get interesting- let's keep it going.

1.lesser of 2 evils
2.I'm not a special interest group member
3.Don't like abortion, supreme court nominations pending soon
4.al/bill....birds of a feather..
5. I want a REAL MAN's @$$ kickin' military, not a powder puff, PC, sensative one

The candidate that best represents my political philosophy is Harry Brown of the Libertarian Party. He has no chance to win. This leaves me the choice of picking the evil of two lessors. Bush is closer over all to my way of thinking than Gore However: I do like the Balance created between Congress and the White house with a liberal executive and a conservative congress. The true lasting power of a President is in the appointment of Judges. These are lifetime appointments and will have a great lasting impact on our lives. My legal philosophy is almost evenly divided between the left and the right. I detest the authoritarian attitude of the right and have great disdain for the meddlesome protect us from ourselves attitude from the left. So what is a person to do?
I guess my vote is for Bush. I see him as slightly less full of excrement than Gore.

Rod
Still looking for the “none of the above” lever.

I prefer Gore over Trent Lott, er - I mean George Bush.

Wouldn't be prudent to vote for anyone but George. Go Bush, Go Chiefs.

Red Till Dead 10-05-2000 11:27 AM

I am also much closer to the libertarian way of thinking.

Government should protect our borders, protect individual rights listed in the constitution, and enforce justice against those that violate those rights.

Government should pretty much stay out of all else.

Since neither party will do that, will go with the party that will take less from my wallet.

George Bush it is!
