So, did Jane make it? She was definitely living life on a wing and a prayer.

You can see the wing walker start to flail as it goes down... probably a good thing the camera shakes so you don't see her get smashed into the ground. Brutal.

Probably wasn't enough time for Jane to take stock of a thing - which is for the best.

Got to her knees and within 2 seconds the lights were out.

Oh ****. What happened? Did the plane stall when it inverted or did the pilot lose control in another way?

I wondered if maybe her foot didn't hit a flight surface. If she'd have had her weight rock her backwards onto the flap on the wing she was on, she could've ended up pushing it down, which would've forced that wing down.

When the plane inverts you see two puffs of smoke from the engine, wonder if that had anything to do with it?

Two killed in air show crash

Wing walker Jane Wicker’s plane crashed just before 1 p.m. as she sat on top of the inverted 450 HP Stearman.

The plane burst into flames as it hit the ground. A fire truck was at the crash within seconds and the flames have been extinguished.

This was the third act at the 39th Vectren Dayton Air Show.

*The show is scheduled to run today and tomorrow 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dayton International Airport.

Veteran stunt pilot Jim LeRoy was killed when his stunt plane crashed and burned at the 2007 Vectren Dayton Air Show.

wtf are those people doing cheering in the last couple seconds of the video.... do they really think it's part of the show?

I knew these organizers were asswhipes after hearing the MC remind folks of the wind, which obviously pulled the plane to the ground in short order. either americans are getting more skilled and losing all common sense at the same time, or they are getting desperate and will risk life and limb to make ends meet.

This makes a little more sense now.
