Jim Carrey Takes Colonel Role In ‘Kick-Ass 2′

BREAKING: Jim Carrey has been set to play the role of The Colonel in the Jeff Wadlow-directed sequel Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall. Deadline broke this August 20 when Carrey had the offer to play a guy who helps galvanize the team of misfit super heroes assembled to fight evil. Wadlow just tweeted the news. The sequel brings back Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage. Carrey is a big fan of Matthew Vaughn and his original Kick-Ass film.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first one. I'll pony up for #2.

Yea ill definitely be checking this movie also.

I've heard from people that hated the first one, and I can't believe it. I loved it. Certainly much better than Scott Pilgrim.

Im guessing he'll be scarred all to hell. It never actually showed him die did it? I cant remember, its been over a year.

EDIT: Never mind, looked it up...apparently its just going to be a cameo...probably Hitgirl having a flashback or something.

"Scott Pilgrim" was visually awesome though.

You guys are nuts. Both Kick Ass and Scott Pilgrim were very good.

The idea of SP was cool, but the film itself was meh.
Kick Ass was...well...just another film.

Hit Girl ( I t hink that was the name of that character) was awesome. So awesome.

Hm. I worry that this will now become The Jim Carrey Show, rather than a Kick-Ass sequel.
