Petition: Make the Day After the Super Bowl a Holiday
 

A friend of mine started this petition and it's picked up some steam (he's been interviewed by Fox News and several radio stations). Basically it is what it says: Make the day after the Super Bowl and National Holiday. Sign!

Dumb....but the NFL has discussed moving the game to Saturday night instead.

The nfl has been trying to get this done unofficially for years by making the season longer. They want to start a few weeks later and have the season end on Presidents day.

who the hell gets president day off besides schools?

My boss knowing my love of the NFL gives me that day off every year.

I haven't worked the day after in 14 years. It's called a vacation or personal day

Quite frankly, I'm usually underwhelmed by the Super Bowl. As time goes on, I care less and less. I'm the type of person that is driven away by the mainstreamness of it all.

Maybe its just perception, but it feels like the game has gotten better over the years. Throughout most of the 80s and 90s the game was a blowout and anti-climatic.

Over the last 10-12 years it seems like the games have become closer and harder fought? Maybe its the parity factor?

It's been worse for me, I get older and the Chiefs still haven't made one since the day I was born and quite frankly other than the smack on the ass I don't remember much else about that day.

For me, the Super Bowl is usually over before 8 pm, so it isn't too hard to get up the next day. However, if I ever actually get to see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl, I would probably take the next day off because it would be tough to sleep that night.

I would take a month off and lounge around the house without showering in my underwear.

They should make the day after the draft a holiday. As a Chiefs fan, that's usually when I feel the most like killing myself, and I could really use a pick-me-up like a day off from work.

Just take a day off. ...Merica

I work for an insurance company but for some reason we get off days like MLK Day, Presidents Day and Good Friday :shrug:

move the Draft back to the weekend and move the Super Bowl to Saturday.

If the Chiefs don't draft a QB, I'm going to need to drown my sorrows in alcohol.

Just move the game to 2 pm central time. That makes it 3 o'clock out east & noon west.

This 5:30 BS getting over at 10 is stupid. Why even go to a party. I bet the people out east really bitch.
