Packers lose LT Bulaga to ACL

Ok Boys, who's in favor of trading Albert to the Packers for their 2014 1st rounder? He's worth it to a team like the Packers. Heck they could probably work out a long term deal. Tough on the Chiefs, especially Fischer, but its not like we don't have the bodies to make it work.

Let's just keep Albert. Sign him to a long term deal.

Fuuuuuck, the line was already suspect as is.

RealSNR 08-04-2013 11:23 PM

Good God. What the hell is it with Green Bay and offensive linemen? Is some rabid Bears fan going all Tonya Harding on them when nobody's looking?

They won't get a first but I'd take a second or conditional third.

Spending the #1 overall pick on a left tackle makes more sense than spending the #1 overall pick on a right tackle to be moved later.

Also, Green Bay doesn't have the cash to take on Albert in a trade.

It'd have to be someone like Stephenson that we trade to them. If we were to do something like that.

That would suck.

Why couldn't they negotiate a long term deal with Albert?

Fat Elvis 08-04-2013 11:27 PM

I send them Albert for Rogers straight up/CP

Who? KC or Green Bay?

I'm sure Green Bay could, but regardless aren't they still required to pay Albert his franchise tag salary for this season?

Eh, you never know. If they could make the deal happen, I'm sure more than a few guys would restructure. Plus, he's better than Bulaga or Sherrod.

They could make it happen if motivated and Albert gave assurances of a long term deal... I'd jump on this if it was at all possible but it's doubtful.

Only if they send us a 2nd round pick back, and Rogers agrees to groom behind awesome incumbent Alex Smith.

Mother****erJones 08-05-2013 12:03 AM

The deadline for Frachise players was july 15. Now could that change for new teams? Although I'm fine with just keeping Albert and having good oline depth. Worry about trading him or signing him in the offseason

Hammock Parties 08-05-2013 12:03 AM

If we trade Albert now, we're looking at 4-12.
