I'm right handed but for some reason certain things i do with my left hand.

when I was competing in gymnastics, on the hi bar i would blind change to the right (as your near veritical, you turn one way or the other to get a reverse grip), but would then pirouette (sp?) at vertical to the left to go back to regular grip. essentiall traveling across the entire bar lol. which sucked. Had to change either the blind change turn or pirouette. should/optimally be able to blind change, then priouette back to your original spot from your regular grip.
very awkward; never did really get used to it. |
I'm right hand dominant. My younger son, though, is kind of odd. He writes with his left hand, but swings a baseball bat right handed.

Bummer I loathed baseball. Additionally as far as boxing/MMA is concerned, I traditionally spar out of a right hand stance but LH is dominant while I feel my RL is more dominant for leg kicks and my left leg is dominant for high/body kicks. I'm just a mess. It did create some unique sparring sessions and was nice to have a solid switch-kick. My right hook out of a SP stance sucks but my OHR out of regular is okay. LH out of orthodox is fine as is my straight L out of southpaw. OHL out of southpaw is beyond slow and telegraphed. LMAO |
lefty. play ball lefty and batted both sides of the plate. had more power from the right side though. I throw lefty. Play 2 kik drums but scatter toms according to the music styles, keep time with either hand or foot. play guitar lefty, piano is cool because I can do a lot more than righties do with the rhythm hand. kick using right foot but sometimes use left foot. write with either hand, broke my arm and had to switch up as a youngster. preferred to line up left side as a WR, liked to stretch - catch passes with left hand but liked to tuck & run with ball in right arm.

I'm slightly left handed. I write, throw, and bowl left handed. However I can switch hit, stronger from the right side, play the guitar right handed, and golf right handed.

^ switch hitter.

When it comes to my feet (boarding) I'm all left. But definitely a rightie. |

Was born lefty and my mom used to tie my left hand down and make me do things right handed. So naturally learned to do everything with both, may be natural too because i can do everything equally well with both hands.

I can do most things involving hands equally well (or poorly related to golf) with either. I normally write left handed, but will think about it once in a while and write right handed just for the sake of doing it.
In baseball I had more power from the right side, but had a better average with the left. I could throw OK left handed, but that didn't work too well at shortstop growing up, so I almost never did until I switched to 1st base in my mid 30s playing softball. In golf, I still putt left handed, I don't know why, I just seem to read putts better that way. Ask me to kick anything with my left foot though and I'm as accurate as Lin ****** against the Colts. |
