Best phone/plan for a family member
 

My mom is/has been disabled and on a fixed income. Had her on my add a phone plan and am not getting the savings I used to so looking at possibly getting her her own plan. She's an AARP member and looking into consumer cellular. Just seeing what other folks may have come accross for phones and plans. She doesn't need a smart phone but does plenty of texting and sending pics back and forth with family.

Any suggestions on non pre paid and no contract plans?

Not sure how old we're talking.... but they make a phone specifically for the elderly. It has big buttons, really loud, and all the menu options are YES/NO simple. No contract, and pretty cheap. Info here:

She's 58 but has lupus so health is much worse than someone her age. eyesight is getting worse to so I will check that one out as well. Thanks :thumb:

H2O wireless cheaper than straightalk and uses the ATT towers so coverage is pretty good. Sraightalk also uses ATT.
