I hope "regular" means more than just until the All-Star break.

Atleast the royals are making moves. My white sox are the fourth worst team in baseball and continue to do nothing

No worries. They'll be selling everyone except Chris Sale and Paul Konerko.

Damn funny.

CaliforniaChief 06-29-2013 06:30 PM

Boy if the Yankees swallowed our sloppy seconds that would be ironic glory.

BlackHelicopters 06-29-2013 06:32 PM

Prediction: No one picks up Francoeur.

CaliforniaChief 06-29-2013 06:32 PM

Do we get any relief on salary burden if someone does pick him up?

Unsure how that works.

Who cares? He's gone, that's all that matters

IIRC, the Royals pay the bulk of his salary; the team that picks him up pays him league minimum the rest of the season.

That's why guys like Frenchy are "sunk costs" -- you have to pay him whether he's on the roster or not. The money basically is already spent, whether he performs or not; you can't save any by cutting him.

Sounds right economically.
