You've got to be ****ing kidding me. Ibanez did it again.

Deberg_1990 10-13-2012 09:36 PM

Good thing the Royals dumped Ibanez.

SPchief 10-13-2012 09:36 PM

I'm in shock here. DAMN.

SPchief 10-13-2012 09:36 PM

oh, and **** Valverde

Buck 10-13-2012 09:37 PM

Ibanez has added his name to the long list of NYY postseason lore.

siberian khatru 10-13-2012 09:38 PM

Valverde's such a cockholster

Setsuna 10-13-2012 09:38 PM

Dang....they need to give Ibanez Rodriguez's contract and send A. Rod on his way with a bag of chips.

chefsos 10-13-2012 09:38 PM

LMAO

Detroit's radio color guy reacted about the same way I did.

"Are you kidding me?"
"Are you kidding me?"

Heh, a lot of times it's the unsung guys in the post season who deliver. There's not nearly the amount of pressure on them to perform as there is on star players. I think they can just relax at the plate because nobody really expected them to do much anyways.

kcpasco 10-13-2012 09:42 PM

Never understood Detroits love affair with Valverde

Yep. For all his struggles a lot of teams would kill for that year he gave them. Not being a generic idiot Yankee fan, I don't forget that. We knew we would be paying him when he was falling apart.

This is insane. Epic hitting fail all first round and first game except the 9th inning.

NJChiefsFan 10-13-2012 09:48 PM

If the Yankees win that shot of Verlander mouthing "oh my god" will be quite the enjoyable gif.

True but at some point you need to nut up and say...I know how to play baseball and I know how to play it well. Let me count the ways with my cluth play. Except he never did.

No. Usually doesn't, yes. 2009 he carried the Yankees. Most teams would kill for that one year. The Yankees have 1 World Series in the past 12 years and dumb Yankees fans don't realize it was because of A Rod. I would love for him to do more, but a title is a title.
