Wonder how LJ is gonna do in the dome. Im thinking 28 carries 155 yards. No fumbles. Last few games he has been doing better...

Man, Im ready for this game...

greg63 11-05-2006 12:36 AM

Ok which is the real game thread??

KurtCobain 11-05-2006 12:36 AM

I'm terrified to make a running game prediction, for sake of jinxing johnson.

Hammock Parties 11-05-2006 12:37 AM

I am very excited about this game. The season is getting down to the nitty gritty. This game will tell us alot about what kind of team we have. Are we a contender? Are we a pretender? How good is our defense?

The story of the 2006 Kansas City Chiefs rolls on. :)

Some people are too superstitious...

teedubya 11-05-2006 12:39 AM

Alright, now lets get this Animal Mascot Mojo going in full effect. heh.

I remember last year I read a newspaper article asking the same question of the 2005 Chiefs.

"There's always next year....."

teedubya 11-05-2006 12:41 AM

Yeah, Chiefsplanet.com should actually be. www.waituntilnextyear.com

Logical 11-05-2006 12:42 AM

It is an away game lets use Ari's thread.

cdcox 11-05-2006 12:42 AM

Governer's cup is always the preseason game, if I'm not mistaken.

"Do you often find yourself shouting obscenities at refs and coaches and players? Do you wonder how many seasons of devoted fandom you can possibly have left in your soul before you are completely wiped clean? Do you pray to God more often for the success of your favorite teams than for your own personal health or financial benefit? Then you, too, must be a Kansas City Chiefs fan."

Sounds pretty accurate.

Why couldn't it leak into the regular season?

The Cup is too big to cloud with regular season issues, like playoff implications. It is a higher calling and must remain pure.

You want to leak in the cup?

I was joking about the superstitiousness, as I posted about my 'mojo' of creating the game thread vs Animal Mascot named teams.

heh.

Typically.

kcfanXIII 11-05-2006 12:54 AM

the cup will be up for grabs. read it in the star.

StcChief 11-05-2006 12:54 AM

From what I understand it's any meeting of the teams.

Chiefs W on the road at the dome vs. Lambs

I think you are right. Herm mentioned it in one of his press conferences earlier in the week.

cdcox 11-05-2006 12:58 AM

I stand corrected. Don't know where I got the idea that it was only the preseason meetings.

You should check out your NFL software before making such silly statements.

Kerberos 11-05-2006 06:06 AM

This must be the "REAL" game thread... It has 4 * on EACH side of title. That means its official. Anything else is Uncivilized!

:D

.

CupidStunt 11-05-2006 06:48 AM

I just wanna see Derrick Johnson blow some sh*t up, perhaps nab an interception against this pass-happy team.

boogblaster 11-05-2006 07:07 AM

Here it is LJ 145 yds..Chiefs by 10 .....

Easy 6 11-05-2006 10:05 AM

Whooooaaaaaa, cant BELIEVE this fell to page2 at 10 o'clock on a Sunday Morn' :shake: , I say we get our best D performance of the year today. Just now figured out that we didnt see ONE lambs fan or troll this week, quite sad really, they're not that far outta the SB years & their fans are taking a nap.

jackson will fumble twice, bulger takes 4 sacks & one of their WR's gets concussed tryin' to get cute ;)

Easy 6 11-05-2006 10:30 AM

Bump.

CupidStunt 11-05-2006 10:40 AM

Genuinely wish I could share such optimism. I look at the matchups across the board and I see 300 yards and 3 TDs for Bulger.

Huard will be taking a dirt nap if Turley is as rusty at right tackle as he was at left tackle.

Que Card QB 11-05-2006 10:42 AM

Anyone think they learned about teams on the ropes from their Pittsuburgh experience? *sheepishly raises hand halfway*

stripedshirtguy 11-05-2006 10:44 AM

Chiefs Bar in INDY

I'm dying here. Anybody know where I can find some fellow Chiefs fans in Indy?

Why'd you have to bring that up? Why?

I've been thinking about that all week.

Que Card QB 11-05-2006 10:45 AM

Umm...first, take off your striped shirt. :)
Seriously, I have no idea.

CupidStunt 11-05-2006 10:46 AM

Great breakdown of LJ on Countdown.

Good stuff.

I want to believe in Herm but I need to seem some serious intensity today.

jspchief 11-05-2006 10:54 AM

When's the last time the Chiefs won on turf/in a dome? I seem to remember it not being a strong point.

stripedshirtguy 11-05-2006 10:56 AM

Chiefs bar in Indy. People, this is important.

Que Card QB 11-05-2006 11:06 AM

I don't know man...call Jason Whitlock.

Assuming that you're in Indy, you're a lot more equipped to find a bar than 99% of the rest of the forum.

Que Card QB 11-05-2006 11:09 AM

The sad thing is, I actually found myself googling for him. Damnit!

Indy? Hell I haven't even found one in Atlanta, and I have lived here for 15 yrs
.

the Talking Can 11-05-2006 11:27 AM

hilarious...ESPN showed a pregame routine where several people "buff" footballs to get them ready for Farve to use...then the back-up QB - Rodgers - has to go down and feel each one to select the right ones....he's Farve's bitch

NUMBER7 11-05-2006 11:28 AM

When ever I am out of town and looking for the Chiefs game I head to Champions. I was in Boston last week and saw several Chiefs fans and enjoyed watching the game with them. I know there is one in most cities. I really like the atmosphere with everyone wearing their colors.

Fairplay 11-05-2006 11:28 AM

I hope Ari's mojo with animals works with the feathered kind.
