Nearly finished 47 story building has no elevator

"Let's get right to the point. If you're building a 47-story building, you’re going to need an elevator. Unfortunately, that was a point overlooked by the architectural brain trust who designed the Intempo skyscraper in Benidorm, Spain. The condo building was initially meant to be 20-stories. When developers decided to move skyward, they reportedly neglected to reconfigure their plans to accommodate the necessary elevators. The Intempo was intended to symbolize hope and prosperity, showing that Benidorm was recovering from financial issues. What happens with the building remains to be seen, but at the very least, prospective tenants can get rid of their Stairmasters."

They forgot to include an elevator after deciding to add 27 extra stories? Why the **** wouldn't there be an elevator in a 20 story building?

i wonder if they can add one of those elevators that go up the outside of the building without having to restructure the whole dam thing?

It doesn't have stairs either.

Get rid of rooms and build elevator?

slight oversight.

If you read the source article from Gizmodo, the building has an elevator. It just includes one designed for 20 stories.

Yikes.

The rent is cheaper on the top floors and none of the female tenants will be overweight.

Defibrillators on floors 10, 20, 30, and 40.

In reading it, it actually sounds like they planned an elevator for 47 floors, but it needed bigger equipment and infrastructure with the expansion from 20 floors and they didn't do that. It's still a huge mistake, but it's not quite as egregious as not having an elevator.

Also eliminates welfare recipients Could be a good angle for a singles apartment complex. Won't be meeting no fatties there.

I bet Omaha has a top floor apartment.
only the strong chicks will survive the trek to his love bunker.

Misleading article is misleading.

The building has an elevator. It has MANY elevators to be exact. They just are built to the capacity needed to efficiently transport 20 stories worth of residents not 47 stories.. So now you are looking at a building with slightly longer wait times to catch the elevator... OH NOEEESSS!!@!!!!

If I was their marketing person, I'd go with "Intempo: Preferred Living for Free Climbers"
