CBs of the Future

You don't need superstar CBs in the Cover 2. Just smart players who tackle very well.

That said, what's the chance that Brackenridge and Sapp are out CBs of the future? Not the same degree of talent, I understand, but it's a fraction of the price and they both seem to have played fairly solidly this season.

Trying to find a bright spot in a bleak season.

Sapp ain't. Still need to see more of Brackenridge.

Sapp as a starting CB is a scary, scary thought. Mighty mouse light

Brackenridge tackles well, but I'll be damned if I've paid a lick of attention to him in coverage.

Brackenridge would be very intimidating as a full time starter. Opposing receivers would tend to take short strides and keep their hands below their waist.

When the nutcrack-er takes the field, bags tremble.

I think Brackenridge could be.
I really do. I like what I've seen so far.

I want to see more of Patterson and Barksdale.

I think Brackenridge can do it. We just need to draft another CB next year. I figure this might be Law's last year. That moves Brackenridge next to Surtain. If we draft a decent CB next year then that will make him the nickel until Surtain retires.

lol, nice

We really need to draft a CB in the first three rounds. If they're not starter material on opening day, which they probably won't be, keep Surtain/Law for one spot and put Brackenridge on the other side.
