I am watching Santana's strikeouts yesterday for the Royals. I love Salvy where he puts the target. Makes his glove look real small and low to make a pitcher focus in on getting the ball down. Then he has soft hands to react to the pitch #Royals

This team has a tendency to be really streaky. It will be no different this year. There will be times when they rattle off 6-8 wins in a row and then dump for a whole week.

Keitzman said yesterday he saw a stat from last year where we were one of the hardest teams to sweep in the league, that only having happened four times (hard to believe, actually).

I think Chicago is using the same lineup they've been using, but its hard to tell because the stupid gif their twitter account posted to show the lineup is annoying.

They are just pressing too much at the plate. If they would settle down and work the count the hits will come. With Frenchy that's impossible because he's one of the dumbest hitters I've ever seen.

There's nothing wrong with Cain, apparently Ned says he wanted to give Cain a day off each week to "keep his legs fresh". If he holds to that all season, he'll play the field in about as many games as a catcher.

Dyson hits Right handers fairly well, but I'd much rather move Cain to right and bench Frenchy.

Ned is saving Cain so he can bash into a fence in Philadelphia and put himself on the DL until the All Star Break.

How do the White Sox get lucky... and get to bash in our faces to start the season?

So I got the MLB at bat app and I can't watch the games on my mobile devices because of blackout restrictions. I had no idea. Luckily I only paid for one month though. It is still worth it for now because I can watch the games on the internet while at work since they are all day games.

yep I looked it up, you are right. Since the Royals are at +104 today, then if they won 5-3, his $40 bet would pay out about $41.60

The long-term odds don't get worse. If 10,000 people placed 2 single bets a day for a year and 10,000 people placed 1 2-way parlay a day for a year, they should both come out the same.

The only difference is in exchange for accepting a loss 3 days out of 4 instead of every other day, you might feel happier on the day you won.

There's nothing else to talk about but the lineup.

First, convert every bet into a factor. If its +, then divide by 100 and add 1. If its -, divide 100 by that and add 1.

(e.g. +105 -> (105/100) + 1 = 2.05, -110 -> (100/110) + 1 = 1.909)

Then multiply your bet by each factor, and subtract your bet.

x=bet; A, B, C = factors in a 3-way parlay; y = what you win.

(x*A*B*C) - x = y

In Vegas a couple of weeks ago I witnessed a guy hit 4 Aces on a $25 video poker max bet and win $4000 so he goes to the sportsbook and places a $1000 3 teamer on the NCAA tourney and I ask him why a parlay.He says because if I hit it'll pay around $7000 to which I say that took some guts I would've went on a straight up if I was betting a grand.

Needless to say next morning I see same guy and ask how's that parlay work out to which he says it didn't but oh well I had a grand to spare. :spock:
