I think there is only one team in the AFC now that can beat the Neckbones.... And that's the Patriots.

Convince me I am wrong and why.

Rice, Torrey, Boldin, Ray Ray, Ngata, Suggs, and Reed wave hello. That's a whole hell of alot of playoff experience.

Hmmm. During the Ravens game & like in the first quarter. The quarterback named Peyton Manning receives a bad **SNAP** & I'm not talking about the center snapping the ball to the QB.

This is where we should be in a maximum of 3 years.

I just want him knocked out of the game and one year closer to retirement.... I can't stand his ass but he has worked so damn hard to be so good, how can you not have respect for a guy like that.

I just hate the Donks

If you hope that Denver gets beat by the Ravens, good luck.

Hope in one hand and shit in the other. I bet you itch your nose with the latter.

Just sayin. They have a puncher's chance. Tired of people acting like they are good enough to just show up and beat this Baltimore team.

I can see the Ravens winning this game. How many teams did they play above 500 on their schedule? They won the AFCW whoopty ****ing DOO DOO.

It was chocked full of KUpcakes, but winning that many in a row is impressive in the NFL. This is also a different team than the one they faced last time plus a Falco pick 6 at the 1 really changed the tone anyway.

Yeah, it's actually pretty silly. I posed this in another thread:

Manning is 0-3 with a 1:7 TD:INT ratio in playoff games when the temperature is under 40 degrees.

Also wouldn't be surprised if Denver won. But I can't sit here and say this game is an absolute lock for Denver.

I sure as hell wouldn't bet on this game, that's for sure.

The Ravens were missing 5 starters when they faced Denver last month.

Now, the Ravens are in their house with Revenge on their minds.

Should be a good game.

The Ravens are 9.5 point underdogs! I just don't see that either. I see close game that could go either way. No way they get blown out in Pile High.

Absolutely. Then factor in they are facing an extremely well coached, veteran team, that was a dropped pass away from beating New England in their house to go to the Super Bowl, and you have yourself an upset stew goin.

Mile High Mania 01-12-2013 10:52 AM

Should be a good game and a close score. Denver has a great defense, many are just focusing on the Ravens defense.

Flacco on the road against that defense... it will not be easy by any means.

My revised prediction...

Broncos 27
Ravens 20

Enjoy

milkman 01-12-2013 11:00 AM

Peyton Manning on one side against a defense that doesn't really bring pressure, and Joe Flacco on the other side, against two good pass rushers?

Yeah, I'm not seeing an upset in the works.

This is a passing league.

Ray Rice isn't going to lead the Ravens to a SB.

Joe Flacco has been mediocre in the playoffs, with a couple of good games mixed in.

TribalElder 01-12-2013 12:29 PM

Suggs KO's manning face

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:37 PM

I could see Peyton choking against a team with a good pass rushing defense.

The Ravens don't match up in any way to the Broncos. The Broncos could win this game with Matt Schaub at QB. Their defense represents WAY too much of a challenge for the Ravens.

I'd pick the Broncos with any competent QB to win this game, let alone Peyton Manning.

This is a laugher, I promise.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-12-2013 12:40 PM

Alot of my posts today are trolling, but I do think you underestimate the Ravens though.

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:44 PM

I think the Ravens are one of the worst playoff teams I've ever seen (other than the Colts this year)

If I had the choice between Flacco, Cassel or running the wildcat all game I'd seriously consider wildcat.

defense is aging, none of their pass rushers scare me, they have JIM CALDWELL at offensive coordinator...

I have big money riding on Denver to get to the Super Bowl and today, I'm not nervous one bit (next week is a different story).

I've never been more sure of anything. This game is going to be one of those 'wow I never at any moment feared Denver was going to lose this game' kind of games.

NOW, FULL DISCLAIMER

a few years ago when the Jets beat the Patriots I felt the same way (in the playoffs) and it lost me a lot of $$$

BUT STILL

-Hootie, always the opinionated

Pasta Little Brioni 01-12-2013 12:46 PM

That's my point. It's the NFL and that's what makes it great. Special Teams TD, fluke fumble, tipped pass....

How much money do you have on the line?

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:46 PM

well I always talk about bounces and the Ravens are going to need at least 3

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:47 PM

Pasta Little Brioni 01-12-2013 12:48 PM

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:54 PM

and Denver's defense is AWESOME

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:56 PM

Green Bay needs to lose today so the hiring of John Dorsey can be completed (YES, I know the Chiefs can hire him even if Green Bay is still alive in the playoffs, I know that has been discussed 8 million times on this message board in the past week).

However Green Bay losing will eliminate any roadblocks, excuses, etc. for getting a deal completed to hire Dorsey.

Holy crap, you have the brain damage too.

Peyton played on a team in Indianapolis that would've went undefeated in the regular season had they not pulled their starters in game 15. Undefeated. Something that's only happened 4 times in the history of the NFL and twice in the modern era. Denver just went 13-3 against maybe the weakest AFC group of teams in a long time.

Heck, even Denver and New England lost every game they played against an NFC playoff team. The Niners blew New England off the field. Yeah, Peyton Manning makes everyone around him better. There's a shocker. The AFC is terrible this year. Of course they won every game by 7 points. They played in a division where there wasn't another single mediocre team. That's literally half their wins right there. They went 2-3 against teams with winning records.

I think they can still get to the Super Bowl. But to sit here and say they're a better team and have had a better season than a team that should've gone undefeated is insane. Completely stupid.

Hootie 01-12-2013 02:40 PM

the people picking the Ravens are hilarious

I think the only check mark they get is at kicker...I won't even give them the coaching check mark since Peyton is basically his own offensive coach and that certainly trumps Jim ****ing Caldwell (as much as I like Harbaugh)

Bro, you're just wrong.

They had EIGHT 1 score finishes through FOURTEEN weeks. Sure, they were 14-0. Sure, they COULD HAVE and SHOULD HAVE went undefeated after they pulled all of those close games out.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelo...peyton-manning

not to mention, half of those one score games were against competition similar to what you speak of when it comes to 'shitty competition' this year.

That 14-0 team in NO WAY compared to Brady's undefeated team.

Who cares? They won the games. Only on ChiefsPlanet are people stupid enough to constantly make excuses for people's success. They literally could've gone undefeated and might have been a Manning throw to Tracy Porter away from a Super Bowl win.

I'd totally agree they were not as good as the 2007 Patriots, but who cares? If going undefeated was easy it would happen all the time. It's only happened once in the last 40 years. They were good enough to do it.

I'd agree they were not as good as the 2007 Patriots, but who cares? If going undefeated was easy it would happen all the time. It's only happened once in the last 40 years.

that's not the argument

I'm saying

with Peyton QB'ing BOTH teams

I'd take THIS Denver team over THAT Indy team

TODAY

perhaps I'm wrong, but it isn't NEARLY as cut and dry as you are making it

AS EVIDENCED by my link with 8 1 score games in 14 games

the Broncos haven't had a 1 score game in almost 3 months

that means nothing to you? are you just plugging your ears and screaming 'la la la' because you know I'm right?

can we put money on this?

I think you're confusing who I THINK will win with who I WANT to win.
I expect an apology from you in my Inbox within a fortnight.

and I'd also take Demaryius Thomas over ANY weapon Manning has ever had and would take Thomas/Decker (even though Wayne > Decker) over Harrison/Wayne

I'd also take Von Miller/Elvis Dumervill over Freeney/Mathis

and I'd say a healthy Sanders is a wash with Champ, but I'd lean Champ

and I'll take Denver's offensive line over most of Indy's line sans the early years
