We have the DE, Martin, in this weekend. If we can get him and St John to KU, an already outstanding haul would be a certifiable home run. I've never seen this type of buzz around KU football recruiting before. Well done by the coaching staff. The majority of these players will enroll in the Spring and be ready for the Spring Game as well as a full off season of conditioning with Holsopple. If Heaps pans out, I don't think a bowl season is out of the question.

This recruiting season has been amazing. I'm excited for next year

Team won one game and have the 30th ranked recruiting class in America.

That's crazy.

30th is still shit. 30th is a 7 and 5 team in the Boise potato bowl.

Who am I kidding that would be nice

But most team rankings I see have them about fifty

RustShack 12-18-2012 06:32 AM

Too bad that good DT is big qualifying risk and probably won't make it too campus.

That's 7-5 ish if the entire roster was comprised of classes averaging 30th. In truth, the team is going to sink or swim based on how well your QB turns out.

Saulbadguy 12-18-2012 08:52 AM

KU had the #34 ranked class in 2011.

Ah, so you're the infamous "wickedson" i've been reading about? Apparently I am your Sith apprentice. Or I am you, one of the two. I can't tell.

Anyway, the recruiting pitch should always be easy for bad teams: "If you can't play here, where can you?" That's what Weis tells people and it's true. I don't understand why some top notch players go to KU basketball when they won't play much (if at all). What is the point? Go to Nebraska or Tech and play a lot.

The flip side of that argument is that they want to win.

But yeah, KU basketball has had it's share of guys leaving after a year because they realized they were not going to get the playing time they wanted.

This Dream Team stuff is pretty good. It's like a History Awaits marketing program. Although one was an official marketing campaign and the other based on a tweet.
