It's kind of funny that Lotus is up there.

Where is Mazda on that list? I drive a Mazda and get great gas mileage.

worthless
what about a company that may produce a mining truck or farming vehicles
that doesn't make them bad because of this propaganda

Ahhh, YOU get good gas mileage. Quick, edit the list.

This list kind of screws over Lamborghini, because it assumes that gas mileage doesn't affect the decisions to travel at all.

If you have a Lamborghini getting six miles per gallon, you may decide not to drive the 12 miles to the mall each way since the trip will cost you about $16, whereas you'll go in the Prius since it'll only cost you $2. In that case, the Lamborghini is actually the more fuel-efficient vehicle.

What about Jeep?

Smed1065 07-20-2008 03:51 PM

LOL

2000 models divided by average or the best MPG based on the 3 or 5 models that are fuel efficient for that company?

Guess this counts all the same models that are the same but different names or "brands" by the same company?

That is why GM is so surging now?

You really are an idiot.

After 3 years of spin and I have decided on my own today, I agree with the board of the biggest loser and idiot.

You win.

when you make a few cars.... that are all economy/fuel efficent, no Full size trucks...
seems kinda of "half story"

Mini, Lotus, Huyndai, Honda,Toyota

JuicesFlowing 07-20-2008 06:00 PM

Yes, as if Mazda as a whole makes gas-hoarding vehicles. It's just my one car that I was speaking of. Because of ME. That's exactly what I meant. Or not.

If anyone wants to know where the story came from, since jake likes to hide his sources most of the time, it is here:

GM Inside News ROFL

There's a guy on the blog that has it figured out too:

Re: Most Fuel Efficient Automakers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just counted it up for some of Chevrolet....just beween the Aveo, Cobalt, HHR, Malibu, and Impala............there are 30 models! And I don't mean trim lines, I mean models that count towards the data in the article. Example, the Aveo doesn't count as 1, it's really 4:
-sedan AT
-sedan manual
-5 door AT
-5 door manual

Amazingly the HHR itself accounts for 10 models!
-HHR 2.2 AT
-HHR 2.2 manual
-HHR 2.4 AT
-HHR 2.4 manual
-HHR panel 2.2 AT
-HHR panel 2.2 manual
-HHR panel 2.4 AT
-HHR panel 2.4 manual
-HHR SS AT
-HHR SS manual

By offering multiple engine and transmission choices coupled with different body styles, Chevrolet is able to look really good in a comparison like this. And no I am not "making excuses" like I'm sure people will claim.....Chevy should be applauded for offering so many choices (and knowing how to game the system.)
