One thing struck early on at the Grammys
A lot of people thought Kurt Kobain was so genius he had to die young to preserve his legacy.
Do people not ****ING KNOW ANYTHING about Dave Grohl. Dude just carries on and on and as good or better then Nirvana itself ever was. Or ****ING Paul McCartney, dude's what, 100 yo, part of the greatest youth band, greatest mature band, and in his own right one of the best solo rockers for continuing decades. It's just weird, these geniuses die tragically young and it somehow had to be that way, and equal geniuses don't, and just give and give and give us more genius. And we still realize they are the best around, but don't recognize them in quite the same way as departed. |
BTW, I finally figured out who the the lead singer of FUN reminds me of.

And this was about 2013, right. Did James Blakes' Retrograde not even exist?
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6p6PcFFUm5I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> A lot of good music, but nothing sounded quite like this this year. If I had to put one song on a loop in my brain forever. I could be jazzed by it, get pumped by it, make sweet love to it, fall into a beautiful sleep to it. |

The guy's a musical genius. A hit maker.... always money. Doesn't seem to age...
Certainly knows more about fashion and style than I ever will, but... http://www.billboard.com/files/style...-2014-650a.jpg |
