HOPE....

Hope, it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of our greatest strength, and our greatest weakness.

Back in the 90’s we had a team that would win regular season games consistently. We had a strong fan base, a Defense (That other teams Feared to play), a Stadium (That was always full and the Loudest). Every year we Hoped that we could get past the first round of a Play-off game. We Hoped we could get to the Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl, but for some reason we couldn’t. The next year though, we would come back and again be the Best and Loudest Fans/Stadium in the NFL, Hoping again that we could make to the Super Bowl.

Now 20 years later, we are Hoping again. Not for a shot at the Super Bowl, but to get back to what we were. Hoping to once again to win regular season games consistently. Hoping once again to be the Best and Loudest Fans/Stadium in the NFL.

Hope, it is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of our greatest strength, and our greatest weakness.

Just some deep thoughts rolling around in my head.

Thanks, Jack Handey!

At this point I'm just hoping for competitive games. A win is too much to hope for in the current state.

Yeah, that's probably what the inside of his office looks like.

the big difference is that back then, we felt we had an owner and GM willing to do whatever to win. Granted, Peterson made some bad decisions, but he did bring in Montana, Allen, McGlocton type guys in an attempt to win, and dammit, win we did. So, there was always hope back then that next year we'd get the few missing pieces. Now, that hope isn't there because it doesn't seem as thought the owner is committed to winning, and the GM is an egomaniac. that adds up to no hope.

I have but one comment ...

Hope spelled backwards is epoh and epoh isn't even a freaking word, man.

Abandon all hope who are Chiefs fans with Casshole as a QB.
