***HIGH TORNADO RISK IN OKLAHOMA***

If you or someone you know lives in Oklahoma, please take heed as violent supercells are expected to develop at any time.

Conditions are favorable for violent, long track tornadoes through Central Oklahoma, including OKC and the metro area.

Hopefully the cap won't break and nothing develops. But that's unlikely. Stay safe, folks!

In58men 05-31-2013 03:27 PM

So people still decided to stay there huh.

Yep that's what you get when you live in a state with dangerous weather stuff

CaliforniaChief 05-31-2013 03:28 PM

I live 3 miles from the San Andreas Fault. Shit happens everywhere, dude.

lcarus 05-31-2013 03:41 PM

Yep. We're supposed to get a major shitstorm later on tonight....again. If there is a tornado, I only ask that it takes out the meth apartments on 61st & Peoria....

Radar Chief 05-31-2013 03:48 PM

Just heard on the radio a tornado touched down near Cherryvale.
Gonna be a rocky night.

Tornado warning here until 10pm. Really doesn't look like it could do anything right now, but I guess it could blow in from that direction later.

LMAO

The level of awesomeness in this post cannot merely be assigned a simple number to a scale. It transcends all of that.

A little creepy to watch if there is a tornado.

I think Luv means a Tornado Watch. They don't have warnings that last five hours.

Dayze 05-31-2013 04:13 PM

somewhere, Katie Horner it in a state of orgasmic exhaustion.

I was thinking to myself "WTF? A tornado Warning until 10? For 5 hours, you're under a tornado warning?"

Suburban tossed 200 yards. Wow. But God damn I wish I were one of these storm chasers right now instead of sitting here in my beige cube working on my SMT report. ****!

You guys in OKC; get the **** off this site and get safe.

tk13 05-31-2013 06:04 PM

This is about to be a real bad situation. Hopefully this thing lifts.

even if a tornado doesn't touch down, there will still be 100+ MPH winds and baseball size hail rushing through.

No, pick a place, there is some type of disaster that could occur.

Just some have more odds of happening than others.

There's a tornado headed towards Newcastle, Moore and/or Norman. Jesus man, stay out of Moore. They've had their share already.

When I left work today at 5:30, the radar showed most of the deep red stuff going north of Tulsa. Now I'm looking at it, and we may get some shit...

Tulsa is usually pretty safe from tornadoes though. I've lived here 12 years and there hasn't really been anything major.

The tornado that hit Moore has a conscience and felt really bad, so now it's coming back to help them clean up?

Heck, I don't know. I hope everyone stays safe in the midwest.

Big ass hail can definitely crack your windshield.

gblowfish 05-31-2013 07:49 PM

Power out at 54,000 homes in OKC. I-40 and I-35 shut down from accidents and overturned trucks. Two deaths reported so far. Not as bad as the Moore storm, but lots of hail and wind damage. There will be flooding too. Lots of it.

so are you reporting what the weather channel is?

Frazod 05-31-2013 10:09 PM

CNN is showing the most amazing storm video I've ever seen - dash cam shot while the vehicle is being pummeled with debris. Looks like something out of a movie. I'm at a bar so I can't hear anything, but the images are insane.

tk13 05-31-2013 10:11 PM

Yeah it looks like a ton of storm chasers were caught way off guard and about got themselves killed tonight. You end up with some amazing video but you have to wonder if you're justifying poor decision making.
