Gamefly + USPS

AWESOME.

- Game A is shipped on 11/23.
- The wait for Game A becomes interminable, as I've been anticipating it greatly. I give in and order Game A from ebgames.com on 11/30.
- Game A arrives from ebgames.com on the morning of 12/1.
- I receive Game A in the mail from Gamefly on the afternoon of 12/1 (of course).
- I put Game A in the mail on 12/2.
- Gamefly receives Game A, ships Game B on 12/10.
- I check mail on 12/22. Neither hide nor hair of Game B has turned up.

I never had that bad of a problem with them delay wise... I just got frustrated with all of the lost games. I realize that things get misplaced and the USPS loses an occasional item, but I was a member for ~3 months and had to report 4 lost games. I think they eventually found 2 of them....

I know I've been spoiled by Netflix and their many shipping centers (average turnaround time: 2 days), but it's interminable.

TrickyNicky 12-22-2005 02:43 PM

Netflix and Gamefly are owned by the same parent corporation... Why can't they just use the same distribution centers?

laser1972 12-22-2005 03:04 PM

I had GameFly for about 2 weeks, it sucked.. Shipped games from CA, took a week back and forth.. At least Netflix has their center in Kansas City..

My advice is go the GameRush from Blockbuster, seem to have many new releases in stock and no waiting a week if the game sucks...

This thread is like a Tom Clancy novel. I don't understand it, but I nonetheless find my pulse racing.

I got 4 games within the 10 day trial period, and then cancelled. I ripped all 4 to my hard drive.
