Art Vader 12-22-2012 07:39 AM

noted! lol

Ceej 12-22-2012 07:52 AM

Aliens.

HonestChieffan 12-22-2012 07:55 AM

Would sell like hotcakes in Roswell

Easy 6 12-22-2012 07:56 AM

I'd be interested to hear about the symbolism of tying aliens into it.

Art Vader 12-22-2012 08:17 AM

I just wanted to make the perfect painting I could on the date everyone was focusing on and creating conspiracies about for years... as kind of a marker in art history, or time even.

Aliens are a big part of that, and I've always enjoyed the idea of aliens while not believing in them fully.. kind of exactly how I am about religions.. it seemed like an obvious juxtaposition.

pretty easy to figure out. the bouquet in the middle is a cross Symbolizing god, then the different planets that enhabit life. So he had humans on one side and aliens on the other.

threebag 12-22-2012 08:49 AM

At least you aren't going to lose your ass. You should be able to sell it for enough to cover the cost of supplies.

Probably end up on a Goodwill store shelf.

Marcellus 12-22-2012 08:53 AM

You and pr_capone should get together and start a custom line of doggy ramps.

Seriously though, cool painting. Interesting piece.

right next to your 'new to you' overalls in all the space left from your kids' christmas presents! jk

I actually make ok money doing this! Supplies cost me around $50 and I can probably flip it for at least a couple G's in a poor market for creatives.

loochy 12-22-2012 09:05 AM

Where can I buy a print?

Taking a printable photo today, the colors on that file are kinda yellowed.. it's much nicer with good light

Its very thought provoking, and the two subjects definitely do lend themselves to being tied together.

I don't know who that is and don't really care... I really try to limit my influence to create as pure of a product as I can. Anything that happens similarly is merely a coincidence.

Chief Pote 12-22-2012 10:56 AM

Cool mil for the original...

Phobia 12-22-2012 11:30 AM

I like the concept and execution. You're clearly very talented. You're also clearly on mind altering substances. I wouldn't hang that one in my home but I don't spend thousands of dollars on art. I'm waiting for my MIL to kick off so our taste in art can immediately become what her taste was.

|Zach| 12-22-2012 11:32 AM

Love it.

Good shit.

Some people in the world create original things instead of cobbling together work of others.

It's hardly original. It's an interpretation of the last supper. And a weird and ugly one at that.

threebag 12-22-2012 11:48 AM

Now if you were to do one in DC Comics maybe you might have something.

Hammock Parties 12-22-2012 11:53 AM

This is a far more interesting, and aesthetically pleasing, interpretation of the last supper.

Some people posts things they do personally while Clay searches the internet for talent he wishes he had.

threebag 12-22-2012 12:00 PM

Oh snap... Looks like Zach got up on the wrong side of the bed.

Hammock Parties 12-22-2012 12:02 PM

Attacking me won't improve the wretched creation in the OP.

It's an abomination.

Steve 12-22-2012 12:03 PM

I like it.

Rain Man 12-22-2012 12:17 PM

I like it. It's what Da Vinci wishes he had done.

kcfanXIII 12-22-2012 12:28 PM

looks like they are serving mushrooms at this last supper. nice work OP.

cdcox 12-22-2012 12:54 PM

Looks like a "Jesus as an alien" colorform set.

whoman69 12-22-2012 12:59 PM

Is this the last supper on a planet entirely underwater?

threebag 12-22-2012 01:02 PM

I think the second one from the right is Ben Kinobe

Let me guess...."Because I say so!!" I found it interesting...and no, I wouldn't hang it in my home.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-22-2012 01:07 PM

I'm not saying Jesus was an alien......but he was an alien

Pasta Little Brioni 12-22-2012 01:08 PM

My work is usually shown in prestigous art galleries around the globe/CP

My sister is a trained, professional artist, with a college degree in artist things. I'm going to acquire her opinion on this piece and it will stand as the word of law.

Big fan of the sideburn alien pimp.

Hammock Parties 12-22-2012 01:32 PM

That's why I wear a cod piece......

Art Vader 12-22-2012 06:06 PM

'writers' are a weird bunch.. kind of like designers or photographers but with very little important or influential talent in a way more saturated market.. with disproportionately sized egos. i take nothing they say seriously bc they usually just need the attention.

I will try to get some hot women to pose with it, it might be more appealing lol

I've been doing more chilled out decorative stuff lately but I had to knock this painting out.. it's busy and weird and I enjoy it but it's definitely geared toward a younger crowd. Appreciate the feedback!

stonedstooge 12-22-2012 06:10 PM

Did you pose Lego dudes?

it's the last supper on a spaceship with a tablecloth designed to look like an ocean, but diamonds are washing up on the shore underneath bc I thought that would be a unique surreal vision and compliment the busy-ness and colors of the top section. my favorite part might be the sailboats on the tabletop
