Farmar's looked incredible. If Bynum has a breakout season, they could be dangerous.

L.A. Chieffan 11-04-2007 11:00 PM

Bynum blowing up tonight. But that's been his problem. Inconsistent.

I'd LOVE to see him become a monster, he has all the tools

kcxiv 11-04-2007 11:10 PM

Was a good game today by the Lakers. If this team can continue to hit the open shot and play defense like they have been doing, they can do good things this year.

Famar is a huge huge upgrade over Smuch's worthless ass. Radmonovic is finally healthy and can make the 3 again. Bynum had a hell of a game and is finally growing up. Hell he was 17 when he was drafted a few years ago. The biggest shocker for me was see'ing Turiaf out there. THis guy reminds me of Dennis Rodman without all the circus attention.

Shit, I think he has better offense than Rodman. I LOVE his heart man. He's like Mark Madsen with skills.

Yeah, he can shoot better then Rodman, but you can tell the focus on the game is there. He's a hyper bastard.

L.A. Chieffan 11-04-2007 11:21 PM

The one thing that I think we have over last year is DFish.
We totally ****ed up letting him go and we completely lucked out on getting him back. He gives our backcourt leadership (and defense) that we just didn't have last year.

Farmar is all over the place I love his D

I saw LAC in the title and I thought you were talking Clippers.

ITs the start of the season. Everyone should be excited. Lakers are a young team. Eventually you would think they will come around and play like Vets. Its just like the start of football season. If your a fan of the team, your excited.

82 games actually. Good job chagrin! I'm so proud of you! You can count buddy!

L.A. Chieffan 11-09-2007 11:58 PM

Odom back got a double double, Bynum with the double double, nice win over the T-wolves.

@ San Antonio on Tuesday. That's going to be a good barometer to see where we're at.

The only problem i see right now with the Lakers is they turn the ball over to much in the first half. THey should have won the game by 25 easily. They are still a young team though.

1 thing i really like and i will keep saying it is Turiaf. That dude is just a monster and is everywhere.

He's running from himself.

I understand Kobe is frustrated, he wants to win more championships now (too bad he realized it after Shaq was driven away) but he needs to be patient 1 more year. The team is developing and it only needs 1 key piece that fits the equation after Bynum finishes maturing. I hope he can wait.

Amen

kcxiv 11-10-2007 02:18 AM

Bynum shows promise, but he's still inconsistant, then again he's only like 20 years old. I love what they did putting Lamar at the SF and Ronnie at PF and benching Luke.

I think they are damn close.

ARROW2 11-10-2007 04:26 AM

I've been calling for Turiaf to start at PF and Odom to go the SF for the longest.....I like how we can drive and lob it up to Bynum for the dunk...I really like this team...I am looking forward to the Texas two-step and the Detroit game for an early gauge...

ARROW2 11-10-2007 04:27 AM

Oh, and PG play is 200% better than last year. Agreed on Radmonivic...he's back. This team, when healthy is pretty deep...

Bynum is going to be great IMO which is one more reason why Kobe should stay around if it's championships he's looking for.

BYNUM!!!

SUCK IT BULLS FANS!!!!!!

kcxiv 11-19-2007 01:32 AM

My only gripe with the Lakers right now is the turn overs, but that i think will work out as they play more and more.

They need to insert Farmar into the starting slot. They also need to give Vlad more minutes. He's been clutch with his 3 pointers this year. He had double digit points in 11 minutes tonight. Bynum needs a few more games on the bench then its time to also start the kid. He's showing more and more flashes of being a damn good center. He has an insane wingspan. Him working with Jabbar is a damn good thing.

Kobe no longer has to play 42plus minutes a game. The bench has been just awesome. Their defense has stepped it up. Kobe's defense has risen to another level this year. He's reminding me of Gary the glove so far.

Bynum is having a hell of a game tonight.

17 and 10 baby. He's really turning it on now. With Kwame Bust sidelined we're going to see him get a lot more minutes and hopefully tear it up.

kcxiv 11-20-2007 09:39 PM

haha, yeah. Famar reminds me of Tony Parker. He's fast and is so damn quick on the dribble and quick on cuts.

Bynum the first 2 years looked like shit, but to be fair he was 18-19 years old. in his 3rd year, he looks like a whole new player. He still has some rookie mistakes, but he's learning and fast now. I am really enjoying watching this team play right now. 6-3, 1 game behind the Suns.

I think we play tomorrow against the Bucks, then Friday against Boston. The Boston game is going to be another nice test, but most of our wins came from quality opponents anyways.

L.A. Chieffan 02-13-2008 10:05 PM

I'm bringin it back baby. Lakers complete the longest road stretch in history at 7 and 2 blowing out Minny. Head back to LA to kick ass rest of the way out.
In other news Gregg Popovich is a whiney little bitch ass, and the rest of the West is shitting their pants in fear over the Lakers.

You think they are going to get Bynum signed by Friday? I don't think they have any intention till they see him play out the season unless they get a decent deal. Bynum's agents expectations are out there. What did he want, 89 million for 5 years?

I love the rebounding....

Its awesome. If we can consistently dominate the boards, and let kobe rest at least 10 minutes every game, we'll be golden.

That was a very aggressive team for the 2nd game of the season.

Buck 11-01-2008 10:46 PM

Nice win tonight.

Nice to see on a night that Kobe somewhat struggles, he can still pull of 30 points, and the Lakers can win on the Road.

He's very clutch in the 4th quarter...I think he had 14 tonight. Good Game.
