Moeaki/Gonzalez At The Halfway Point
Just thought Id point out how close the two are at this point.
Gonzalez 37 catches 3 touchdowns 9.8 y/c 364 yards Moeaki 30 catches 2 touchdowns 334 yards 11.5 y/c pretty damn close May very well be the best pick of the 2010 draft so far for us. :toast: |
If this were Facebook, I'd press the Like button.

let's compare their rookie stats
Tony Gonzalez in 1997, played all 16 games. He had 33 receptions for 368 yards and 2 TDs Tony Moaeki, now, only 8 games as a rookie so far, 30 receptions, 334 yards and 2 TDs YA! lol, no I'm saying that he's going to be a better pro than the best TE of all time. But he sure is off to a great start! |
he is the new jesus
|
I think the most impressive thing is the fact that he's been rock solid dependable. He's played like a seasoned vet.
|
You forgot one of the most important stats at the halfway point of the season:
Tony Gonzalez age - 34 Tony Moeaki age - 23 |

But don't get me wrong, I like new Tony a lot. I hope he stays healthy. |

But, but, but what about the 4th rounder they "pissed away" and the other uber TE's available?
|
Yep, a great pick. Just think if we have another draft like this , we're set.

Interesting comparison though. Berry stacks up pretty well. |

I was just making a joke at your expense. |
I like him, but I would have *really* liked him if he could have caught the simple pass for a 1st down last Sunday.
|
I know I might not post often but I have read enough to understand when you post incomplete info look out.

It's a cool comparison. Thanks for posting it. Post more often. |
I like Moeaki, but i will admit i didn't like taking a TE with one of our 3rd's in the draft. I'm glad he's producing on the field to show he was worth the pick.
Anyone else see us line up with 3 TE's against Jax last week running the ball? Good production from all of our TE's blocking on running downs. |
welp there ya have it.
the purpose of this thread was to show everyone that Moeaki is just as good as TG. |

If our Offensive cordinator didnt suck-Tony would have 50 catches right now.

Hernandez has had a good rookie year as well, but isn't the blocker Moeaki is.
That TD off the tip showed some damn good concentration and getting his feet down showed the stage isnt too big for him. But the other tight ends that people threw around as better players? crickets from them |

The only one I liked better was Hernandez and still do, also it's not like moeaki is jason dunn in the blocking dept man he is split out wide A LOT |
Quote:
I promise. Dude is a huge reason we have the running game we do right now and have kept Cassel from getting murdered like last year. He may not be Jason Dunn yet, but he isn't far off. no homer |
They were running behind pope a lot on sunday. It doesn't matter really he is really good and as I have told you before you were right and I was not.

I think it's safe to say that one, Bowe. :D |
