Run and counter, making GOOD passes to the OPEN man when the time is RIGHT.

It seems like SKC players are just kicking up prayers to see if a ball will just get a lucky bounce most of the time now. That or hope for something lucky off of a set piece or penalty kick. Or they run themselves into a trap. OR our forwards just get the ball at a good countering scenario and A.) pass it back or B.)Stop running or slowly jogs. I'll give you this, when our forwards are on the counter and they've got ONE defender on them, they should be using their speed to get behind them and possibly create more openings. Not coming onto a one-on-one scenario and trying to use technique dribbling, which clearly is not one of our strongsuites, and always slows down play for the other team to get back on defense... by the time our wingers get down the field the box is already full with defenders...

All 24 teams are placed into eight groups. Teams in each group play in a round-robin home-and-away format. The winners of each group advance to the Championship Round, which will retain the same format as before.

Group stage will be played from July to October 2012. The matchdays are July 31–August 2, August 21–23, August 28–30, September 18–20, September 25–27, and October 23–25, 2012.

RSL is in a group with Herediano of Costa Rica and Tauro F.C. of Panama

Houston is in a group with C.D. Olimpia of Honduras and C.D. FAS of El Salvador

Seattle is in a group with C.D. Marathón of Honduras and Caledonia AIA of Trinidad and Tobago
